How do I capture an old windows demo?

I have tried making KKapture record an old software rendered demo I made a decade ago, but it seems to give me a black screen and no output at the end.
Is it out of scope for KKapture and should I use Fraps instead?

A cage, some very strong rope, and patience.
I don't know. But if you do not want to suffer from illegal telepathy, you can build your own Faraday cage. A grided cube feed with electricity.
