I attended my first Mekka-Symposium with zero euros in my pocket. In fact nobody had any euros at all. :(

We have euros that can beat your euros.

But I guess one could start joining some platforms. Like:
HIGH-END - PC,MAC,PPC AMIGA
LOW-END - Amiga,Atari
OLDSKOOL - C64,VIC-20,Plus4,Spectrum,Amstrad...etc

That's what most other parties do. It is based on the misshapen view that a platform is only characterized by how powerful it is. It ignores all the traditions surrounding each platform.

One of the tings that make Breakpoint special is that it has dedicated compos for PC, Amiga and C64 and delegates everything else to the wild compo. Having the opportunity to compete in a compo where all contributions are on the same platform - a platform that you know intimately - is something I am sure many sceners value highly.

How about a "design" separation for future prods? :)

Not sure you have enough entries for a separate Amiga (ECS/OCS) and Atari compo though

I agree with Blueberry. It's better to maintain separated compos instead of put all things in the same box.

Interesting, it always was the metalvotze table/bus/grill where I could get some beer and sausages.
Perhaps BP orginizers can introduce the VIP ticket. Inclusive food , drinks, sleeping area etc.. For people who can afford it and are willing to pay extra. With the extra money they earn with it they can lower the general price of a normal ticket..

magic: yeah, sure. and then we have an additional organizer for each vip-guest checking, that he doesn't supply all his friends and whoever is around with free drinks & food.
please get a clue.

styx: ok, I admit there's a scale difference, but magic's idea isn't that stupid, scene event already did that once.

Yup, we've got a vip area for years already (ok, it looks lousy and is just a corner of the organizer's area, but still ;) - Organizers, seminar speakers, bands, scene.org awards staff and sponsors are counted as vips.

(No, and it wouldn't really work with paid-for VIP tickets. But for those who've got too much money (and/or want an written invoice) for 2007 for the first time we sold corporate tickets.)

So how much does one have to add to his ticket to be counted as a sponsor? ;-)
