What's the exactly name of the Scene if we want to call it a movement?

Anyway, I haven't yet know why the scene can't be called with an Art-term...

I read 'A-team' and got all excited for a second..

You can give the Demoscene an artsy name when its dead.
a demo is not an art movement, but a media, an art form.
like there is painting, sculpture, movie, dance, etc.

we have demos inspired from many art movement: we have realist, hyper-realist, post-modern, surrealist, cubist, dadaist, pop-art, constructivist, futurist, etc, demos.

unless you generalize the artform aka media to a certain movement to capture its subgenres.. which is probably what this thread is all about.
i would suggest "teleoptical breakfast", or eventually "demoscene"..

Here's a reaction for ya: fuck off. Stop trying to make the demoscene into something it isn't.

Don't know if it's already been said but I think what gloom is getting at here is that it makes no sense to describe the demoscene as a 'movement' in that sense, as what the original post is saying is akin to "what's the exactly name of painting if we want to call it a movement?"
im happy with my artyfaggotism variant of the demoscene. you folks figure out your own :)

I would called it, as I've said before, autologism.

it isn't currently under control and guidance of some corporate/governmental entity, so it's terrorism alright (by today's definition of the word). but don't worry, Gloom'll remedy that minor defective trait in our scene culture, with his shiny corporate logos, nonsensical slogans. :)
