What's wrong with the NeHe tutorials?

Neat-o :) Ta. As I feared though the list of functions is about 3 times as long.
:) but you'll only need a couple of them. the ES API is much cleaner than desktop GL but still bloated, IMHO.
On topic: I think there's nothing horribly wrong with the NeHe tutorials. There are 10+ versions of the "infamous" base-code available and you don't need to use any of them to follow the "lessons".
