Probably isn't a nice idea play a Poker tournament into demoparties, but I like it anyway.
In the latest years, Poker is getting really a mainstream thing also in Italy, thanks to Luca Pagano. Well, people thinks that play at poker is an easy mode to make money, and this takes them to make errors when they got an ace in their hands.

Well, Breakpoint simply has too much going on for a poker tournament in my opinion.
I can't imagine taking out some hours out of my schedule to sit and play some "serious" poker. That'll mean I'll miss at least some "dacing on the tabels dropping pants"-sessions as well as a lot of other nice stuff ;) And we don't want that, do we? :)

As someone who has never been to breakpoint, it sounds like you're trying to find something else to do instead of making/watching demos.
yes, let's watch and make demos for 72 hours without any social interaction with our beloved friends. get over it, a demoparty is not only about making/watching demos. the whole idea is to see your friends, drink a few beers [in case of DDT, get shitfaced drunk], and enjoy the while socializing [in case of DDT, sing a song about kb]. why does it matter this much how we socialize?

besides, no one ever said we won't make/watch demos, we sure will do that with great pleasure. but we can also do other stuff.
I can make demos 361 days a year at home, I think those 4 days should really be reserved for something else.
Alright, I'm just saying if I decided to go to Breakpoint and when I got there everyone was playing poker I'd be pretty disappointed.
well, here's an advice: BE THERE, then talk about it :). because the experience is like no other, no matter what you do.

no, seriously, most of the time that I'm not watching compos I prefer to sit outside and talk to people, play rob is jarig on a guitar and get pushed to the mud by a crazy spanish. but that's my idea of socializing, other people would prefer to play poker or give someone a blow job on stage. it's a free world.
