TRSAC 2010 - 22nd - 24th October - Aarhus, Denmark

category: parties [glöplog]
fucking ey! The quiz was great really awesome... I think it really hinges on the visuals being shown during the quiz - normal questions wouldnt work THAT well for entertaining the audience, even though I guess it could work - and also, 15 seconds of footage seems to be PERFECT.

The only thing i'd change was maybe finding a way to show the scores during the compo, but that is easy. And maybe MORE SHOUTING and cheering for the teams ;)

dirtie: Oh, that's a _finger_ -- thank god.. :)

With regards to the quiz - it was great fun indeed. :) A few suggestions for next year -- or indeed, when you come to Solskogen 2011 to arrange it. *hint hint*

- The improvised "I know the answer!"-indicators, while fun, were sort of useless :) - how about a rotating "police-light" in different colors for each team instead? Since there is audio playing, a visual indicator might be better.
- I whole-heartedly support the audio-category :)
- The last question was too hard

... its not what you might think, its stinkin cold bath essence looking green. The silver colour of the duck was not influenced by this. So if have one, try it by yourself - its save :D

The original full size foto shows a lot more by the way ;D but I dont know how to add a proper mosaik effect with my small netbook.

Gloom .. that's sound kinda fun doing it at other parties .. BUT that kinda takes the fun out of doing it at our own party ;)

And i can answer your three points:

We actually were about to make real buzzers since our electrician could make them, but we wanted the more silly, kinda unfair "buzzers", makes the whole thing more goofy.

Agree on the audio category, we were all over the categories, and this seemed as the only thing working properly, demos are easier to remember than names, handles, groups, stuff happened at parties and so on.

I do agree, the last one was hard, but I made a rookie mistake not making the picture more bright. Even though, you got the darkest picture right. But as mentioned, I let the audience deside, AFTER i told them i was hard, but I could have gone down "a right" so you only had to get 4 of them, but no team had 4 rights either :) ..

Quite odd, since four rights make a straight...

gloom: I guess that pic is from the music compo where the heavy metal entry was being played

also, I notice that we seem to playing paper-rock-scissors, and I'm losing big time.

89 visitors is quite nice - thats around the figures we had for the South Sealand partys back in the old days. I'll attend next time.

If no Breakpoint replacement pops out of nowhere, you should (for my sake) place trsac during Easter. My family is used to not having me around during Easter, and I'd like to keep that tradition alive :-)

that would screw up the TRSAC official poem by James Wright

In the Shreve High football stadium,
I think of Polacks nursing long beers in Tiltonsville,
And gray faces of Negroes in the blast furnace at Benwood,
And the ruptured night watchman of Wheeling Steel,
Dreaming of heroes.

All the proud fathers are ashamed to go home.
Their women cluck like starved pullets,
Dying for love.

Therefore,
Their sons grow suicidally beautiful
At the beginning of October,
And gallop terribly against each other's bodies.

Maybe that poem needs the newest servicepacks then? October is so oldschool!
