Moar exemusik.. and here we go again: I want exemusic on Pouet! :)

Do a live act during your executable music entry, have someone record it on video, enter it to the wild-compo and there's your executable entry on pouet. I did half of that, at least ;)

or, stick two muzaks & an interface together and call it a musicdisk.

I would like to vote exemusic on pouet too - but I guess that's an never ending discussion.

Oh! And remember to bring up 4k exe-graphics for comparison - that'll keep people busy for a while :D

But thats, like, completely different!

Even though it would be nice having an executable music section on pouet, the thing that would be truly awesome would be, if more parties had executable music compos and more groups cared enough to actually release entries for them. It all boils down to our selves not submitting entries at the parties where they actually host executable music compos.

Oh, and could you please make them 32k? Our synth is growing :D

kkrunchy is not working for you?

Oh, and gimme synth specs, or it didn't happen!

Like a charm - still, the synth, instruments and songdata is quite a bit above 16kb. Quality and features has won over size so far. The music was "responsible" for 95-98% of the insanely long precalc for our last production on that account :-D

The specs: It's modular - it would take me forever :D
I'm sure Revival would let you have a peak at it and I'm sure he'll be a hell of alot better to explain what's going on under the hood than I am. But it's massive, that's for sure. Featurewise, I think it's well above other synths used in 64k prods so far. Size is also a hell of alot bigger, though :) But check out the comments on 0 to X in Y for Revival's contact-details

I would love to see some more synth bragging in .nfo files.

There are both 32kB and 16kB compos out there — if your synth is too big, just don't enter the 16kB ones (or tell musicians to make smaller tunes) =)

I like exemusic, but it seems there are very few parties with an appreciable number of entries.

Oh, and personally I find 32kB somewhat more interesting; it allows you to make something that becomes more than “64kB intro without the visuals”. Unless you normally have graphics people that really would give you half the space for the music, that is…

That'd be my exe-music entry from BP 2010 ;-)

@Sesse: Agreed! We're the only one's to blame for not releasing enough entries for parties to keep hosting such compos.

On the other hand, 16k is less likely to descend into "Chiptune XM + minifmod".

I see your point; however chiptune XM + player exemuzaks are easy to "spot" and I'm not totally opposed to those, but I prefer custom synths. In addition, xm + player prods are a nice starting point for newbies.

Gargaj: If you're afraid of being beaten by XM-chiptunes, I'd say you should work some on your synth ;-)
