Scener from Sweden needs our help (getting to Revision)

category: parties [glöplog]
Listen up, ppl:

Photon had planned to travel to Revision by car. (from Sweden)
He put money aside for all the costs (fuel, entrance fee etc)

BUT now: his car broke, he had to let it repair: all the money gone.

Last time he checked (just for interest), plane travels from Sweden to Frankfurt-Hahn were about 200 Euros, NOW the cheapest would be about 480 Euros......

We are right now evaluating how it might be still be possible for him to join Revision at planned/relatively low costs. We are checking on opportunities to travel to Maastricht OR Cologne (on Saturday, cause that would be chances to pick him up there),

BUT: we are still not there.

SO: if there is anyone travelling from Sweden to Saarbrücken by car or any other cheap methods, pleasy reply in this thread.

Otherwise, there are some ppl on our side who would help him to keep the cost quite low, that would not be the problem, we just need him to GET HERE in the first line. F.ex. we would cover his entrance fee...

Any ideas?
Lemme know,
Thanx!
SIR

There's the bus from Denmark, if it is possible to reach Frederecia cheap. http://bus.puryx.dk

The bus is 157 euros return trip to Saarbrücken <-> Fredericia (or Aarhus)

Puryx, thanks, Photon already knows about that possibility. But even that would over-expend his planned travel costs. AND he wrote me something else.....about your bus travels..... BUT i wont post that here ;)

I am really ACHING to post what he wrote, but on the other hand, it would not be THAT suprising! ;)

(what did you DO to him when he was on your bus anyway?)

not much - I guess he's referring to the terrible home-trip he has, when he had an awesome hangover and a car drove over his laptop(!) just before we had to leave from Bingen :)

Ask him - it's a quite unbelievable story :D (which he can probably tell best himself :D )

I cant help it:

here is what he wrote:

( take it as a compliment, will ya? )

"Thanks for all your emails :) But I'm still looking for some cheap last minute flight, if it's going to happen I think.

157 EUR plus bus to Denmark and train to Gothenburg is still out of my budget. Apart from that I took that bus once and ... I'd rather drive down in my car, to be honest :P"

LOOOOOOOLL!

Problem is I didn't book a month ago, reason is THAT month I had even more unplanned expenses, otherwise I had had 350 EUR for this trip then. :) Which is why I'm looking for travel last week before the party... much too late to find anything, even if I have great friends that can take me from the airport.

Even if a magic ticket appeared for around 100 EUR, my budget after the car repair two days ago (perfect timing...) is really 0 EUR and 100 EUR+minimum expenses already means noodles for two weeks... I've searched with flexible dates for two days on many sites and the best anywhere is 380 EUR (Gothenburg to Frankfurt, Cologne, Maastricht, Saarbrucken, Hahn...).

Driving to Denmark and going on Puryx bus is very tiring and would still mean >200 EUR.

So it really is a matter of zero budget two months in a row :(

as I said before, we will try to cover your entrance fee, that makes it -50 euros (or so). consider.
just be brave and COME, and we will see how the rest will work out then.

and there is NOTHING wrong about noodles! just ask my son! he LOVES noodles!
