I'm really looking forward to the beer-frenzy at breakpoint! However, I'll be shopping at the mall, where you get good AND cheap(er) beer. Now, if i could also manage to find a replacement for currywurst that is possible to prepare while being mad drunk...

END OF KUSMA-RANT

i want 'tip feinherb' beer please, and ofcourse grolsch (heineken is fucking dutch sissie beer, real men drink grolsch)

and i light my cigars with 40 euros.. so don't complain! :D

kusma: boller og øl! it's only gets dry in a while

for obvious reasons I'm not going to complain about any price. although I would have paid 40e if I had to (but only if I had to) to get to breakpoint.

I wouldn't have done that on ANY other party though.

me and bp talked about that beer thingie the other day (bp as in black panther, not breakpoint) . why dont everyone bring a few cases of their own local beerbrand and we all sell it to eachothers? =)
I liked bitburger, it was so good that I brought some home and found out that they actually already had it at systembolaget =)
"Pitepils" is served in the same cinda bottles at bitburger I think, may a norrlänning correct me?
But I would prefer staropramen instead of bitburger...

why not have a bar? and a black jack table? =)

but please, some real food (nongerman) would really be lovely =)

FYI - As I'm lazy I'll just copy the news post I just did on the bp website here:

We are happy to announce a nice new party feature: During the party, the city's swimming bath will open exclusively for Breakpoint visitors during the morning hours. The bath will be connected with our bus shuttle service, and best of all: Both entrance to the bath and the shuttle service will be free of charge!

Detailed information about the opening times will be published together with the Breakpoint Bus Service timetable later this month.

shame that flyingfinn stopped flying to london from helsinki.. I can't be bothered to travel from Tampere to Helsinki.. It's too much hassle...

.waffle: if i'm not mistaken ryanair has a direct shuttle bus from tampere airport to downtown helsinki (takes about 2 hours, tho). How much easier could it get?;-)

40 bucks is a fair price for 4 day action...

I think, the afterparty cleanup of the outdoor area isn't really cheap... thanks to bronix :-)

just to keep the beer discussion going: how about bitburger for evil germans AND some crap brand that actually tasted better according to most foreigners? ask xxx, he knows - at tUM we had some really good beer for very little money, bought at some supermarket in koeln. it tasted like 23987x better than bitburger.

oh, eh, one other suggestion:

how about bike rentals? for going to bingen without some shuttle service and for some perfect family-style weekend entertainment!

How about Rothaus Tannenzäpfle? A tasty beer from the area of the black forest...
added on the 2004-02-11 17:00:31 by nexuzz nexuzz
the solution is:

a beer-tasting!

bring a few bottles of your best local beer and we put them on a table and you can take a sip from every beer and decide which one is the best!

and i'm very pro bike renting!!! i'd love to go on a romantic bike ride with you sir richard!

How about good old Budweiser?? Now thats a real Beer, forget all the super-bitter european crap. Admit, you just drink that beer to look superior in the eyes of foreigners.

To support that unique Dutch teenage entertainment feeling, why not do the beer tasting on the bike? Dauwzuipen hmmm...
added on the 2004-02-11 21:38:10 by havoc havoc
havoc: hehe, dauwtrappen is toch niet perse op een fiets? :) maar dauwzuipen klinkt prima

stehltz: europeans ARE superior to americans, budweiser is no beer, it's canned dogpiss!
added on the 2004-02-11 21:48:02 by okkie okkie
Budweiser was considered beer once. Then people grew up :)
