I think I mentioned it before (in this thread?) or somewhere ... but the new behavior of the "sneaky CDCs" kinda bothers me. Before, it seemed to me to me that a CDC was only sneaky if the user giving it hadn't commented on the prod they gave it to. Now any CDC that belongs to a user who doesn't have a comment on the page of comments you're looking at is considered "sneaky". That's not sneaky. If I go back or forward a few comment pages, I'll find their comment and the CDC along with it. It's in plain sight.

Fatal error: Call to a member function RenderTypeIcons() on a non-object in /home/hosted/pouet/sites/www.pouet.net/user.php on line 651

When clicking next on http://www.pouet.net/user.php?who=4548&show=demoblog&page=456 and thus ending up on page 457 the error above can be seen, after one prod has been rendered, 458 works as intended again.

I assume a comment has a reference to a prod that doesn't exist anymore.

I'd fix it by wrapping succeeding code in a
Code:if($p)
after linehttps://github.com/pouetnet/pouet2.0/blob/master/user.php#L648

However it's PHP and I'm not sure if it'd catch that, or if it needs a $p != null or similar (or if that's the actual root cause).

I'm very new here, and found my issue : "self voting" already mentioned on page 14 here. I stepped in that trap as an author (of this). I just wanted to add a "proof of work video" comment to the production, clearifying that it works in "real" MSDos, and is an animation rather than a still image (which is not obvious @ 11byte). But Pouet kind of forces me to vote implicitly, so, after realizing i piggied myself, i instead upvoted me in the next comment. I got instantly downvoted because i upvoted, and then again i got upvoted because i got downvoted because i upvoted. At first i thought "okay, so authors are expected to piggie themselves" but then i realized that, if your average voting is already below zero, then piggieing yourself is, in fact, also upvoting. But i can't guess how pouet will accept the submission, so - in fact - i'm kind of morally forced to downvote myself, because i don't want implicitly to upvote myself by raising the average rating by piggieing myself if the average is below zero or expected to be so.

TL/DR : i feel i have to downvote myself just because i want to add a video link in the comment.

To add constructiveness to the whine :
1.) Please allow submitters to add a video link by default
2.) Please don't force anybody to vote

Did you not notice the "submit changes" block above the comment box? It includes a handy "click here" link that lets you add new links, edit old ones, and more.

This has been debated before, I think most are okay with the piggie default even if it might in fact result in raising the average. The problem most people raised before is that doing so would change the averages of older productions (history) and how do you go about discounting votes from the "author"? Productions didn't have credits until recently (many still don't), and you cannot assume the uploader is the author for many obvious reasons.
1.) thx, i mistook that for a report button for everybody else (if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken). instead i looked for something like the "+nfo" button, near that button ;)

2.) i will, from now on, pretend, that i submit demos from ... a friend ... which i can clearly upvote :D nah, kidding ;) if this is already debated to death, then i won't revive it ;)

Ignoring the fact that Gargaj would not accept such a change request or that I wouldn't submit one, check the source yourself. There are no hard-coded users so it cannot be fixed in code. You should appeal to the admins or(?) moderators. However considering the response so far, they probably still feel your skills at uploading productions correctly hasn't changed.
Correction:
It cannot be nicely fixed for you alone in code.

My last line is not a revealing of any opinion of mine, merely a statement of obvious fact.

Mcbain, it has been some years now since this adjustment.. It can be undone now.. Where are the criteria applying for everybody to add a prod. ? Why stay silent gargaj?.. Open source of Pouet my ass.. Its still dictaroship this way.. :/

I think the new design does not work properly with Internet Explorer 8. I guess noone cares, but if I'm not wrong IE8 still has 20% of the market share.

Tomorrow I'll post a screenshot of IE's rendering.

after sending a change request to a gloperator and you get the green success thingy, it might be nice to have a link back to the prod you were editing. in case you do batch additions of credits or whatever.
just something small i came across right after i changed my avatar icon (back):

BB Image

now another comment by somebody else was added to the box and the icon shows as its supposed to be, so probably its not even worth "fixing"...
