you know there's a history. 116 pages. i know the mensa issue. but where should i read to understand a lil more of that old shit. political statements are dated back more then 10 years. kebby's grudge burned in 9 years ago. who else? this is interesting. *not really* :D

psenough: Nice and honest writing. Honestly, I don't know Adok that well, but it seems like a true constructive feedback. Also, I really respect the sincere apologies and I hope it will be accepted by the other side.

In general, many times I feel that bashing and flaming that Adok get is way more violent and aggressive then Adok's opinions and the way he expresses them.

in "hugi", adok gave a platform to a psychopath who afterwards went on to spam, blackmail, harrass and death-threat me, unlock, the whole pain team, the whole scene.org team (including the university that hosts scene.org!) for several years (!). felipe, have you forgotten about this? i have never ever heard a real apology from adok who has given this guy a platform and never condemned his activities afterwards. until this happens (and i mean REAL consequences, not a lame "yeah we dont publish articles from this guy anymore"), i don't see any reason to think of adok any better. i'm surprised that you see them.

As someone who was out of the scene from 1998 to 2008, and only joined pouet in 2010, this is my perception as well.

In fact, from this perspective, I'd go as far as saying that it is bullying.

Adok comes off as a bit eccentric and occasionally misguided (e.g. the raymarching tutorial), but in this community it doesn't really seem like those traits should be *that* big of a deal.

So what's up with that people?

LoL. Yet another Adok-Thread.
Boasting everywhere how super intelligent he is, but after hundreds of pages... :

I did not understand that.

I don't understand it now, either.

Antisocial personality disorder maybe?
But who am I to judge.
This is my first and last time feeding titbits to that troll.

ps: Thanks for your feedback. There are some things you misunderstand. For example I never believed to be better than anyone but I used to have an inferiority complex and therefore was happy when I learned that I am not so bad. The racist views are mostly my father's and not my own. He used in the past to sit next to me in front of the computer and tell me what to write. He is very intolerant and believes he is always right. He is the main reason for my inferiority complex.

And ringofyre, I hate nothing more than people spreading lies. I completed my studies with a doctorate and a master in another subject and am working fulltime now. And I am 29, not in my 30s.

I am at loss for words here.

indeed. i had to rolleye
i think adok is losing it a bit with his 'passion for understanding how other people think' and the bollocks he posts here as experiments where those will go are just sad. :)
@adok: your dad is a racist and manipulated you? sad excuse. does he know that you talk like that. i'm sure he'd know where to read about if he knew what you wrote about. see... here. this doesn't add up.

just for that hollywood vision. who's your dad @adok? it can't be "him". "his" son maybe? :D

I expected those reactions:
1. either they don't believe me
2. or they laugh at me and punch me in my face.

Sorry, but you guys are really not worth wasting my time with... You seriously lack empathy!

dipswitch, I am really sorry for what EP did to you, but you have to mind that I am not EP's nanny! I can't prevent EP from behaving like a moron and threatening you. If his behavior really bothers you, then there are legal ways to bring him to reason.

I published EP's articles in Hugi because I am a strong believer in the freedom of speech and I really published almost everything I received for Hugi, so why should I have made an exception with EP? IMHO EP's articles were not really that "stupid". He might have an uncommon point of view, but: so what? I would have only deleted anti-Jewish articles if I had received any, and throughout all the years I received 2 or 3 really crappy "articles" which I did not accept, but apart from that, I published almost everything I got.

dipswitch, again: I feel really sorry for you; the threats by EP were surely not a pleasant experience. But it's not in my power to prevent such things. I did not ask EP to harrass you. Moreover, maybe you've not noticed, but EP has actively tried to harm Hugi as well with his letters to the university that hosts scene.org! And until EP was still also trying here on pouet.net to harm my own "image" (as if this were even necessary...) and so on.

v3nom, yumeji: What I just wrote was the truth. If you don't believe it, well, then don't believe it, but don't call me a liar.

Haven't you wondered why I am so "strange"? Well, then let me explain it:

During my school years I was always brought to school by my dad, and when the school day was over I was taken home. After the home exercises I worked on Hugi while my dad was sitting next to me. When I went to IRC in the evening, he kept sitting, and when people were talking about politics he told me what to write. He was very strict and overserious, he was believing that what he was doing was good for me, but he actually harmed my development to an independent person. He always thought he had to tell me what's right and what's wrong, as he believed that what he was believing was the truth (and he really is a racist), and when I had a thought of my own he usually rejected me and told me what he believed I should say. Often he did not even understand what I was saying (as you are apparently often doing as well...).

I did not have any time to be alone or with other people than my parents.
Only at elementary school age I had friends who kept visiting me in order to play computer games together, but this ended when I was 12.

Well, believe me or don't, but that's the truth.

My dad is now in hospital, of course I feel sympathy with him (he is in a very serious condition). On the other hand now I finally have the opportunity to lead the life I always wanted to have...

(And yes, of course he knows pouet.net. What else did you expect? But at hospital he has no Internet access.)

1) stop making such a fuss
2) make awesome productions instead

adok: you have to understand that without context it really sounded implausible, because in our modern time parents usually aren't that strict anymore and let their children find their way independently.
i wish you the best in finding your way and living an independent life. you're old and intelligent enough afterall.

Anyways, this is the Demoscene, not the "Dramascene". Moar demos plz!
I've got a thing to add : nobody runs with fame without a chance, people who do not know me think chance is some mysterious.

dipswitch: ofcourse i remember ep, i deleted quite a few personal troll mails from him myself. you surely got more attention from him at the time and i feel bad for you and understand why you hodl a grudge on adok for enabling ep to some degre. but i do believe adok was acting in good faith in this regard and also ended up as a victim of ep's trollage. i don't think it's very fair to hold him accountable for someone else's actions though. yes he is the main editor of hugi, so he is responsible for what is printed, but he is not responsible for external actions of a lunatic troll.

adok: it's hard to admit to a controlled childhood, i'm glad you were brave enough to do it in public, i hope folks here get it and realize that bullying in not ok on 2013. you are a nice person, you have issues due to various reasons, but everyone has some issues on something, especially a community of nerds.

i'm amazed that so many folks here feel it's fine to bully others like adok just because he's different. Maybe you need reminders of how you were also bullied for being computer nerds or good students, i remember i was, and it wasn't nice, and i assume 80% of folks here also were.

I can't believe you actually believe his latest excuses without any form of doubt. Besides that I agree with most of what you said.
