some nice 3d scenes, but not very exciting on the whole.

yeah, boring 3D.. meant to be noble, but... failed for me at least.

To all you Amiga guys who kissed Maturefurk's ass for Lapsuus, but not this.. well.. where do you think they came from. :)

The objects and animation aren't quite up to the level of, say, Sunflower or Tribes, but dramatic demos always get to me somehow..

i can understand that phoenix :)

but i dont like this nor lapsuus while last one is at least technically impressive..

I liked it at that time for it was one of the best 3d amiga demos out there (until relic came out anyway ;) ). But I have to say it DOES lack some design. Nice effort anyway.

In its time was very funny to watch this demo. Today, i think that the music is the only that still rock da house!
added on the 2002-05-28 10:13:39 by humphr3y humphr3y
contained better 3d engine then relic, and was the first 3d story demo for amiga.
so a milestone.
not to forget that these guys did lapsuus later on.
and the music is awesome.

> ...was the first 3d story demo for amiga.
can't agree here. i do at least remember odyssey to be about 8 years older.
but the engine rocked nervertheless!

"storydemo" might not be a perfect word here - that would require a story actually :D

despite this, great graphics and music

I loved this demo on TG. it was very nice on bigscreen and the music was great. I am not that big a fan of it anymore, but as it impressed me then it gets thumbs up now. (better late then never?)

I can`t believe i havent already commented on this. Probably one of the best Amiga demos I have seen. Up there with the likes of Desert Dream. (at least in my opinion)

The superb music sets a great atmosphere the it runs suprisingly smooth in quite low spec amigas.

Yes, for me a difinitive ruler, too.
If you like colourshemes like this (i do, hehe) and be able to enjoy this kind musical score (great too), you must set your thumb up for it.
Aeehm, i do o in fact of the previous described 'features' and not least for the big memories on it.
If it is interesting for anyone: My favourite is the credit-part music. Simply awesome

hm, why is this prod so underrated on pouet?

I was at MS98 when they showed it on the bigscreen (enthusiastically announced by the organizers). IIRC the crowd went wacko and it had a big impact.
Back then it was a real "wow" although the crowd had witnessed the fulcrum by matrix at the very same party!

Ah, one of my favorites! The graphics in this one are so beautiful and so smooth. It was one of the first Amiga demos with decent subpixel-correct 3D rendering, and it really shows. This is something you get to appreciate immensely after watching hundreds of demos with jerky texture mapping, not to mention struggling with implementing the stuff yourself. ;)

graphically a bomb !
i love how smooth the models are, just hate hard edges ( if you can see every vertex there is ) !

One of the last demos i watched on my trusty A1200 when it was still set-up on my desk :)

And it was nice, some good scenes and modelling.

I always thought Mellow Chips demos were overrated. The graphics were ugly, chunky and garish, they required high end Amigas and still looked like a lowend PC demo.

Looking back, they were ahead of their time and did a great job, but I was never a fan of this era of Amiga demos.

Hasn't aged too well. Was ok back in the day, but now those huge blocky pixels are hard to look at. A flyby with little connection with the music.

Love it! One of the best 3D engines on Amiga. Graphics and music are great as well.

Smooth 3D engine, though quite low res and low fps. Scenes look nice but man that underwear model is cringey to watch. But I guess everyone was a teenager once. :) I like the music and how it follows the scenes.

Sorry guys, but I liked the demo then and I still like it now. Yes, too much 3D, that's true. But it's definitely a demo where you need popcorn. A bit like watching Tomb Raider part 22 in the cinema. Or something like that.
