The routines are pretty average for 2000, nevertheless they're nicely optimized for a 64k.
The (artificial) hype however is not for the design or for the code, rather for the text (message), which is an attempt to surprise the unaware viewer with difficult philosophical/spiritual questions and promote a stoic-pessimistic approach.
(The average scener in his teens or twenties probably isn't prepared for dealing with these questions of religion and is probably caught completely off-guard.) |
