Liked it. Best Amiga Demo released on BP, although it doesn't seem to follow a path. Mostly 3D scenes, but they looked pretty nice to me. My winner!

A bit too epic (what's with statues in Amiga demos?), but superb work nonetheless.

"party version"? When we'll see the final one?
added on the 2009-04-13 12:16:14 by Manwe Manwe
I've only got good things to say about this. I really love that great epic feel....but it's one of those demos that would be better suited to the PC where the models and textures wouldn't have to lose so much quality.

Great work though.
rulezadded on the 2009-04-13 12:19:52 by Wade Wade
Impressssive code!!! I am wondering which one might win. Because I enjoyed the traktor demo more than everything, but this one has more hard work put into it.

Was bloody awesome. Ironic thing is that this and the other good Amiga demos at BP this year had a better feel and flow than the PC shite that dominated.

Absolutely wonderful demo!

And Wade is wrong of course, the low end hardware is what makes it so nice to watch - to know they squeeced this out of that old hardware.

Really, really great. I think it blew the other Amiga demos out of the water--I'd go so far as to say it was best demo at BP09 overall.

@hatikvah: wannabeish? wtf are you talking about? get a grip, man.

Good one. But as Manwe pointed, for so heavy 3d modeling stuff, better use somethink more progressive. Ok, not PC, but Warp3D for sure must be. Old warp3d demos was very enjoynable, sadly that kiero switch to 256 colours again.

Superb demo with a great soundtrack. I had the feeling that this demo was torturing the poor Amiga a bit too much in places though.

Btw, it works with Winuae if you disable JIT (long loading time).

:) (My favourite BP release this year)
rulezadded on the 2009-04-13 19:43:43 by RRR RRR
What a shame, just the second place at BP?
Elude are getting closer and closer to TBL productions, too bad that TBL were not present with a demo there.

Works with JIT either.
CPU: 68040, JIT
FPU: CPU internal, more compatible
Advancted JIT Settings: Hard flush, No flags, Constant jump, Indirect, NO FPU SUPPORT

These settings shlould do it.

Alright, I don't understand the ranting about the frame rate, after watching this on the 060/50.
It improved quite well from Soliloquy.

Is there is a connection with the Oxypatcher perhaps ?
added on the 2009-04-14 20:49:19 by d0DgE d0DgE
technically interesting, and it is way better than boring soliloguy, but still a flyby with some excelent 3D scenes glued together without any deep reason...so piggie

Video please, my paula is kaputt or does the sound work through AHI?
rulezadded on the 2009-04-14 23:16:14 by tripper tripper
The demo works on MorphOS so I guess it has AHI support.

It doesn't work on OS4, though, and judging by the console output i think that might be because it just tests for MorphOS to decide whether or not to be system friendly, so i dunno if it'll do AHI on OS3.x. Its a shame, because BriteLite's demos automatically work perfectly on 68k/AGA, OS4 and MOS.

Great graphics/3d and music. Some of the parts are quite slow on my A4060 though (yes, Oxypatcher has been started before), maybe less C and a bit more asm could help here? :)
Nice demo guys and my personal 2nd place in the compo. =)

Oh and please ignore those silly "you should use hw acceleration and more than 256 colors" comments here, it's great to (still) see you back on classic 68k! :)

this one gets better with every view! Really eye candy and polished.
The main down side is the mountain part, which looks terrible, especially compared to the rest.

Great stuff. But statue scene frequently causes software failure on my A1200.

Indeed great stuff but some scenes are too slow.
Anyway, this demo is a must see.

Another 2nd place by Elude.... Pity that some scenes tend to slow down a li'l but overall it is a solid demo.

What went TOTALLY wrong with that landscape scene? The rest is absolutely awesome, but... that landscape???

This is a totally cool demo, for sure. I like it, and the music is awesome.

...but that landscape scene?
