classic demo. very slick, huge amounts of polys in 25fps bsp indoor worlds, great complex object zbuffer fruits too. voxelwater. also some great gfx (shown very short).

is it true that there is a 1:1 conversion of this on AGA amiga (~50MHz 030) ? does anyone have any info on this?

To me flatshaded 3d still looks good today because it's clean... In any case a great dynamic demo with good music.

what can you want more from a falcon demo. the 3d is impressive and also the other efx would still make me happy today. the gfx are fantastic and i think this is djamms best ever module :) i guess there are still lot of people around saying that ekosystem should have been the compo winner on fried bits 95 instead of lazers lostblubb..
rulez added on the 2005-06-29 23:38:57 by fiveofive fiveofive
Lost Blubb and EKO system are hard to compare. EKO also deserved the first place. Very impressive stuff.

This one really impressed me back then. A demo which really showed what the Falcon could do.

Apparently the people who made this demo have seen certain Sanity (Arte) and Spaceballs (Mobile-Destination Unknown) demos. :) Even the music sounds a bit like a tune by Moby. :) It's a nice demo, fun to watch. The 3d routines seem to be pretty fast. Would like to see this on the real HW once. Earx: I am pretty sure there is no AGA conversion of this demo.

Great code, but very boring to watch.
(ie: 3D flyby could have been twice shorter, the demo would have felt a lot better.)

I didn't thumb up already? This was the benchmark for the 'ultimate' in Falcon demos from Fried Bits 3 (1995) until Sono' came along in 1997.

I remember watching this on the fried bits big screen and couldn´t get my mouth close again. Unbelievable 25 fps vector worlds. Thank you for torturing the dsp.
