I hope the news find that here in Portugal. It would be a great publicity for Breeze.

ARM should do the right thing and take a weekend trip to Oslo. ;) Anyway, I opened a new thread on this just to measure interest.

I heard rumours that in reality Photoshop (which we all think is Stefan) is really Timbaland.

This is so wrong I don't even know where to begin. But I can at least say one thing: I would never steal a nickname from a multinational company nor would i ever rip intellectual property I am not the author of, mostly because it doesn't exist.

ps: You are confused. The place did not close down when they changed owners, but it was not long after that happened that we decided to move the pub-meet to killyrego, which was opened by some of the people who used to work at Sikamikanico. And that stuff happened ~4-5 years ago, not two ;)

Timbaland...
Quote:
Timba is the Cuban variant of salsa music, and is often understood to be a sub-category of salsa. However, the historical development of timba has been quite independent of the development of salsa in the United States and Puerto Rico and the music has its own trademark aspects.

THE COMMIES WANT TO RIP OUR MUSIC!!! WE MUST ATACK CUBA!

Virgill: That's TRIPLE RIP! Rob Hubbard rips Philip Glass, then the Timraland rips Rob Hubbard! :D :D :D

But you shouldn't do that... people might mistake pouët with reality. Maybe Pouët BBS should be private.

Yeah, that's not very handy people. Let's not fuck this up ourselves, now shall we.

(ps shift: that black gang thing is not timbaland, timbaland actually does make better beats than that)

It's the same idea... Timbaland probably spent a lot more time than Virgill on that ;)
...but just remember that it wouldn't be the first time, and it sure won't be the last time, that someone mistakes pouët with the demoscene... but even scene.org forums suck for this matter. :(
...there should be a place where the scene isn't free :D

Another news item (in Norwegian -- took them about five hours to get the news online) -- hopefully this will make other people pick up the story:

OK. It's just turning 9:00 Monday morning in California right now, and in roughly 15 minutes a management / PR type at Geffen is going to grab a coffee, sit down to check email / Google News, and go 'oh shit'.

Sweepstake anyone? I reckon they'll be in touch with Gloom or Tempest within 5 hours (2200 GMT)...
