buzzie : i heard that what you talking about is what demoman told you of his own experience, might it be true? I'm sure he'd not deny that.

AMI : death is a common name, not an adjective.

(it's called a noun, dude.)

at the time the devdemo thing appared i understood every trsmember who joined there (also for reasons daxx already mentioned)..i expected more overall quality and more professional work there and the fact that ppl joining them could see their work going around the globe (^^), what is imho way more motivating than producing f.e. cracktros for nearly nothing or posting them on one site or website..so imho everybody had a good reason.- sadly it turned into a flamewar (blackorwhite thing & more leaving than only joining) and afterall the output was "only" 2 nice wilds and 2 nice cracktros..all for nothing at the end.
i really never understood this whole flaming thing, also i knew that ppl were not recruited in a halfway normal way. but its sad to see members who had something like a friendship and irclove going on, turning into childish enemies.

whatever.

With all these people joining and finding new groups and demo divisions, and with all that friendship going around, I can but wonder...

.. where are all the productions?

Preacher:

Where are the productions?

hmm i have done over 600 Amiga Mods, Over 50 Amiga Remixes, Over 100 own Song-Productions and more than 50 released Vinyls/Cds... But where the coders and GFX freaks to create a nice disc with it ??

Only one what i earn was "sry... i'm busy..." - "sry... no time..." or "hey we do it !!! COOOOOL!> and 1 year later was nothing done...

Much bla bla bla... and work = 0...

You have done this, you have done that, you have done it all.

Dude, some people made only 20 mods, never bragged about it and had them all included in some prods.
You still don't understand why?

I personaly would never work with a guy doing nonstop flaming on forums, bragging about 500 things he did all the time and behaving like you did on that thread...

As for the remixes... do something new instead of trying to use ancient people's glory

And you really wonder why with such attitude? If it's so easy to code anything, why don't you do it yourself?

remixing ist just a tribute to the old musicans...

it's a part you must understand as musican... if you're not a musican u'll never understand it.

And i flame all the time ? where? it's not flame here man!!! its just a fact i wanna discuse... but it's equa what i write now.. u'll find in every post another way to kick asses again and again... thats what you need hm? ;)

Sting... i did'nt said it's easy to code... but after 5 years without any start i have the damned right to be worry about it... i meet a lot of coders and all told me how fine my music is and we have to do a big demo with it bla bla bla... and finaly nobody starts.. my music was finished for it but the coders was away, hav'nt time etc... that sucks.

Yes, I'm too dumb to understand that people want fresh and original stuff, not remixes indeed. Meanwhile, you're the one not understanding why people don't want to use your 650 mods Mr Big Musician.

"YOU'RE NOT OLDSKOOL YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND NOTHING!!!!1"

Funny guy.

daxx: i bet a lot of coders would say the same about musicians and artists.
there's no such thing as instant succeess, it takes years of building up trust to get a good group together.

hm smash... it take years... i'm 30 years old now. do you think i need to be 50 for my first demo ? lol :)

okay nice news dipswitch and h2o... my update of amiga ascii scene was then wrong. anyway. to me ascii scene as it was or something.. at least for all artists i liked: mark ryder, h2o, taxi, nup, etc. to me that scene died in 1997-1998 after #ascii at ircnet guys started to fade. then already 2000 in when t.a.c was going on there was these polish artists etc. and ansi scene is as it was. dead to me. #ans was founded 1997 by maestro/legion/ex.ice for non-asshole operator #ansi channel. its longest lasting #ansi alternative but i think it was end of ansi scene i know. even not theguardian (Aka tg, that old fag from tribe group) is not harassing and trolling. well... what buzzie said :)

We / you practice art in a subculture, and its still fun, but its really not needed anymore.

well, h2o, i don't know, i'm not the one to judge. but as long as people still request from me (3 demoscene ascii reqs alone this week), it seems to be still "needed". =)

could you now please stop talking about ascii all the time? THIS IS A SERIOUS THREAD GODDAMNIT, no need to spam it with off-toipic stuff ;)
