25 Mb's...
Wow..are you PC guys still doing real-time calcs or are you using DVD-movies as texturemaps nowadays?

Geez :-/

kb, well, i think that 15mb is actually quite a lot considering all we need is a tune and 200k of code

Actually, in the olden days demos would fit on a floppy. If you take that forward to now, demos should fit on a dvd, with multi-dvd megademos being acceptable.

Thinking about it that way, I'm torn between being happy that file sizes are still pretty reasonable, and lusting after a 4.5gig megademo extravaganza.

I guess it's more a matter for some demogroup to "fight against video games using the same weapons".

scoutski: we need it all for a really high res sincos table.

it's easy to complain about "too big" demos when you're just watching them.

fortunately, it's also easy to ignore the trolls since most european parties seem to have come to the same conclusions as asm and breakpoint about this, so why is there still bitching about it?

face it. we're a motherfucking cartel. we got asd, fairlight, farbrausch, mfx and plastic. through intense lobbying we managed to get all important parties under control. resistance is useless. we can wipe you out. yada yada.

@ryg: i don't know if this semi-rant was towards me but I wasn't trolling/complaining, I was just asking out of pure interest.

Ryg: ... and how the hell are Plastic going to wipe anyone out anyway? Bore them to death?

Archimage : "Bore them to death?"

Only Picasso's paintings can do this.

this post will expire with a half-life of about 18000 years. good luck.
