I do it all the time. Why? Because it makes me look cool of course! :)
no, i would never change nick!
Nick is a good guy and he is pretty solid at his job, so I would have no clue who to replace him with!

yep, used to be called eggbird. ile still calls me that. guess it has to do with age. first you're young and come up with something horrible (f.ex. "aNARKY"), then you become older and coolness/lowercaseness starts to matter (f.ex. "loop"), a bit after which you decide it doesn't matter at all, really (f.ex. "langford huxley III").

I am still looking for one...
People should take one nickname for ever, it doesnt have to do with coolness or something similiar, the most important stuff is that the crew gets all the respect not the user. Everything for the crew.

Like if people would say about 20 years "hey did you remember person X".

Try do to the best for your crew, not for your self as a person you'll be forgotten.

skrebbel : at least you are spelling aNARKY right :D

Ok, seriously then, I used to be MethoD about a decade ago. Before that I had a gazillion nicknames ranging from LogiDwarf to PRiMAL to Char-Lee to a fuckton of that crazy hype shit that was popular back in 1993.

you should've never moved away from "Char-Lee".

Char-Lee Lohuis!
I had the 'brilliant' idea of adopting Shingebis as a serious nick for non-Spectrum stuff. Turned out that a) more people than I realised already knew me as Gasman, b) nobody could remember it, c) even if people could remember it they were never sure how to pronounce it, and d) it really screws you up when meeting people at parties. "Hello, I'm Lord Helmet." "Hello, I'm - er, it depends actually"
