category: general [glöplog]
it's not about scene music, right? if so, i might want to do a dub/roots episode.

Probably no one cares, but since you're talking about whether the iPod sucks or not...

I have both an iPod and a sony walkman mp3 player, and I prefer using the sony walkman mp3 player most of the time, because it's way smaller and lighter, has raised buttons so you can reach into your pocket and operate it without having to look at it, and it's much cheaper, so if I ever get robbed or drop it into a volcano it won't be so bad. :)

People claim the iPod is better because you can put your "whole music collection" on it, but I usually don't spend time listening to the same old music that I already listened to, so I'd be updating it each time before I go out anyway.

Oh, I forgot about something else—the walkman can plug into any computer anywhere, but with the iPod, you have to remember to also bring that wire with you.

that s!p dude is somewhat correct, as eastern threat's connection to the scene is not very clear, nor do i want it to be. most of the episodes are made by sceners though (with people from at least jumalauta, matt current and RNO), with very few exceptions.

if you're not interested, then fine, don't. bitch about podcasts all you like, but you're missing out on loads of great music. chances are, eastern threat has played shitloads of music you haven't even heard of. if the term "podcast" is a problem to you, then a) get a clue and b) think of ET as a music mix show that's published online with an MP3s served through an RSS feed as the distribution medium. oh, and by public demand, we now have a "download episode" button on the website. :)

i can't believe we have to go through this every time podcasts are mentioned. :)

to address the whole ipod/podcast connection: just let it go. no one cares.

now, time to get off the soapbox and continue fighting some other real mean looking windmills!
oh, and dipswitch: go ahead, email me :)
