I like Scooter, but mainly for the instrumental tracks and b-sides.

CHILLYBOW!

Isn't it Chillybone?
Anyway, I love Scooter, too - I only have one album, though. "24 carat gold", or whatever it's called...
michael jonzun + uwe farenkrog petersen!

I nearly got tickets to see Justin Timberlake in concert. they were just a tad bit too expensive (60e). Granted, I was supposed to go with a cute girl, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in concert anyway.

Then again, I don't give a shit what people would think about the music I listen to. I have music on my player ranging from jazz and oldschool hiphop to ridiculous trendy hipster electro and it's all good to me.

I saw most of the trendy hipster electro people live aswell, only Digitalism was kind of a let down (they just tried to hard being Daft Punk 2.0) but the rest was mostly rocking, and it's a good place to pick up young hipster chicks!

And Rob, you listen to Sufjan Stevens, your opinion on music is void ;)

Hey, I think everybody should listen whatever they want and never be ashamed of it.

But lately everybody starts talking to me about Celine Dion (parents, friends, etc) and I just don't get it. Her singing seriously hurts my ears and brain, it gives me headache etc. So I am just wondering what people like about her.

My guilty pleasure is those cheesy new age albums by Dan Gibson, you know, with the whales and shit. Sometimes I just like to listen to that kind of "music", it really is relaxing somehow :)
seriously, if you're ashamed of listening to something, you should really reconsider your peer group.

i have some Front Line Assembly albums, especially the later ones, hidden in a very dark corner. (not TNI, that album is sumblime!)

oh yeah, Ben Harper.. he's so goody goody and all gospel and shit.. but. i actually like it sometimes! oh noes!

To me the "ashamed" part comes from the fact that I know that the music has no "actual" merit. For example, I might find myself liking a simple song with three power chords and everything clichéd and overdone and sung badly and played like crap. And yet, there is something very likable in it.

Then again, that might be counted as some kind of quality of the music.

i'm a proud and avid listener of scooter, donna summer, dj space operator and peaches but i don't, obviously, see any shame in that. i also dreamt the other day that patrick cowley was still alive and that he answered my fanmail.

i used to think that i should be ashamed of myself if i ever started listening to modern r&b, but the new (ish) estella album blew that one too; it's awesome without being pathetic!

the only reason why i wouldn't see a justin timberlake concert is because i fear the maddening crowd. the justin itself should be pretty awesome, i guess. oh and that i don't think 60 euros is worth *any* live performance but that may just be me.

PLEASE OKKIE DON'T CALL DIGITALISM ELECTRO ... it's not electro as what electro is about. it's something else

Haha unssi, I should call it Tektronic then? I find the 'original' electro terrifyingly boring btw, same with 'original' acid.

Oh, and skrebbel, paying 50 bucks to see Daft Punk live was probably the best 50 bucks I have ever spend on anything (including drugs and sex).

I am not ashamed of anything I listen to, and I don't give a flying fuck if people get confused when I go from KRS-One to Cannibal Corpse to Alabama.

I like music.
several european humppa and folk metal bands. well i love folk music from all over the world really, classical scandinavian folk music and dance are uber fun.

I think the only band im a little shamed of actually liking, has to be Alestorm *blush*

okkie: i don't know, but it's not electro. at least it's not electro for me. electro is fucking cool music like ur,aux 88,bass junkie, ibm, dynamix ii,etc. anyway. don't want to argue anymore. call whatever you want...
