Max Payne Movie

category: general [glöplog]
Well, I don't know very much about Remedy's history. But... They were formed by some Future Crew members, right?
So I have a question.

Have you expected any greetings in Max Payne's movie credits or any kind of refference to demoscene inside the movie?

Mark Wahlberg is actually a member of Brainstorm!

I haven't, because I haven't heard about any Future Crew members being active in the scene in any way for very long. Of course, I could just have missed it.
Actually, I'm more surprised that we didn't see any greetz from Uwe Boll yet since he's a Limp Ninja member.
Lord Graga: Abyss/FC is the main organizer of Assembly.

Wark Mahlberg said "Fuck you" to Chuck Norris, and Chuck Norris could not do one single damn thing about it.

mark wahlberg may not be the perfect choice as max payne (actresses have been well chosen hehe) but the movie itself is excellent specially to render the original ambiance of the cult game :)

way better than the former hitman movie, directed by a french genius who was bridled by hollywood studios :(

btw as the movie is a worldwide success, i hope Remedy will take time to make max payne 3 after alan wake :)

zest: i saw the movie just two days ago, and IMO it does a -very poor- job of actually getting the ambience of the game (which is much darker and tragedic than the movie)... specially the main character adaptation sucks really hard.

And the whole thing is not only because of Marky Mark... but that too.

how about making alan wake first :)

I cannot for the life of me understand why Michael Madsen wasn't put on a diet and then hired for Max Payne. Marky-mark..? Bah..

gloom: probably because people would have taken the similarities with Sin City then :)

hitman actually had quite decent direction and execution (pun intended), just that the whole concept of a hitman is quite flimsy made it a poor movie. the max payne movie had so much potential to become a decent film noir, perhaps even better than sin city. btw, the bullettime part in the valkyr factory is also a laugh :D
