The perfect anti-gamer t-shirt?

category: general [glöplog]
I'm sitting in my room, desperately looking at a pile of Counter-Strike t-shirts, supposed to be sold to stupid gamers for good money. Why am I so desperate, have the gamers perished? Well, look at this.

BB Image

I guess you don't see anything weird, so I tell you. Some moron reversed the printing film, and so the logo is reversed. The guy is supposed to be facing right, not left.

But well... As the converse cross is the symbol of the Antichrist, well, this converse CS logo can be the symbol of anti-gaming! Ain't it perfect and smooth? No gamer will realize you're the enemy. You can sneak in their stupid lanparties set them the bomb, and laugh. They'll think you're one of them, but you're not. This is the perfect thing!

Do you want one of these? I can deliver to Breakpoint. Available in all sizes, in black and white, both long and short sleeved. 5 Euros. Quite a deal, isn't it?

"No gamer will realize you're the enemy."

So where's the point in the tshirt? Why not go in regular clothes?

"They'll think you're one of them, but you're not."

Why not wear a regular CS logo then? That would work better right?

Put me down for 100 white and 100 black and bring them to BP. I'll pay you there (honest!).

And the gamers go like:

WHAT HAPPEN?
SOMEBODY SET US UP THE BOMB!
WE GET SIGNAL!

and we say:

HOW ARE YOU GENTELMEN!!
ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US
YOU ARE ON THE WAY TO DESTRUCTION
YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME

HAHAHA

I'd order one but i'm not sure i can show up on Breakpoint.

well and antichrist symbol is an upside-down cross, not a "left-righted" one... so the left-righted soldier won't work right.

There is a hidden message. You know why the sniper should be facing right? Because we read left-to-right, so if he is facing right, he would seem to be about to step forward.

Your countered variant doesn't make the same impression, it rather looks as if he were afraid of stepping forward. Because right-to-left motion feels "wrong" or "retrograde" to europeans.

So if you have some "brave fighter kills them with no sweat", he should be moving to the right, and if you have some dramatic moment, the figher is about to be killed, then let him move to the left.

I don't see what the deally is about belittling gamers. It's one ostracized subculture (the demoscene) beating up another ostracized subculture (the gaming community). Like skateboarders making fun of rollerbladers. I think if anything, there should be crossover. .....

dsp, HELLO!? Gamers are the ones who think that Lara croft running down a flight of stairs is more impressive than 3d textures in 256 bytes. They're the homos that think that aiming and clicking with the fucking _mouse_ makes them one of the elite. They pollute the vote and are the reason that Assembly sucks.
We don't have to support every other ostracized subculture. Their moms can support them.
I never supported them. I suck their blood. I sell them crap Chinese t-shirts for five times the price.

Yay! Yay for crap! I hope the t-shirts are itchy and give them rashes.
dsp, well, gamers suck exactly as much as rollerbladers in fact! =)

So thats the reason then? Because they pollute the parties?
If thats the case why are they allowed in then? If they do so much damage at the parties then they simply shouldn't be allowed. Regardless of money concerns. But you shouldn't fault the gamers for showing up.

Oh yeah...I hate rollerbladers too!.

Hmmm... I need to get myself rollerblades to get even more enemies in the scene. ;>

So you're walking around in a shirt that will only seem "wrong" to the inner circle of people you're trying *not* to be a part of?

Why don't you just replace the gun with a trumpet or a vibrator. Cheap success.

I'm wondering if this is the same guy who also prints all those cheap ass fake Atari shirts? :)

Nope, our scener shirts are printed on the very best quality material. You'll see at Breakpoint.

Here here. The real irony is that so many legendary members of the demoscene have gone on to become developers and contributors to some of todays most popular and famous games.

Like 99.9% of all the other discussions on Pouet, this is just another pointless lame thread that will lead to nowhere constructive.
