Sadness, disgust, horror. Perfect mix. If you don't feel anything when watching... well, umm, right.

Powder! Another great overlooked movie!

Here's one I watched recently. My head is still spinning (in a good way)...

I saw a little bit of Sprited Away. I had to stop watching it because I thought it was fucking terrible and wanted it to stop.

What can I say wade. :)

I've not watched many Ghibli films, but the ones I have watched, "Spirited Away" and "Origin" are fantastic! The opening titles to "Origin" are bloody epic!

I think this one is coming out soon and also looks fantastic!
xeron you cold hearted bastard. :P
Xeron: I felt the same way at first, but then I soon found myself mesmerized.

8bit buggery: I usually hate anime, but would love to see more like this. I've not seen Origin, but am going to check it out now for sure. :)

Argh, hotlinking fail, my bad. It was "Drowning By Numbers" by Peter Greenaway. Largely overlooked.

If you like Spirited Away, you'd probably like Princess Mononoke as well. Or anything else by Hayao Miyazaki for that matter.

(even people who generally don't like graffiti may find this quite interesting.)

(don't wanna give anyone any ideas but googling for '"meta graffiti" aeroholics' yields some interesting results)

-Try here. Stop!
-What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?
-Now. You're looking at now sir, everything that happens now is happening now.
-What happened to then?
-We passed it.
-When?
-Just now. We're at now-now.
-Go back to then. When?
-Now.
-Now?
-Now!
-I can't.
-Why?
-We missed it.
-When?
-Just now.
-When will then be now?
-Soon.

yeh i had the same as xeron with 'spirited away'.. should retry then :P
You have to remember guys, that over that geographical locale they like that spiritual stuff. Just look at all the Final Fantasy stuff, pretty much every game that I can think of involves the home planet and how it feels, in some shape or form. Films like that, you don't have to delve too deeply into the truly believable storyline or even any sense it makes. I love those anime films for their whimsy and attention to detail in the animation. I know the stories can seem very far fetched, but then look at any big sci-fi film.

JSYK..... Ummmm, WORD
