Who coined "nordic/norwegian breakbeat conspiracy" and when?

category: general [glöplog]

..or something similar?
It occurred in a comment for a prod, but I find it. Does anyone remember?

Well, those are really two terms I believe: "nordic conspiracy" was focused around the Scene.org Awards, while "norwegian breakbeat" was indeed a prod comment (probably for one of our tracks :). There is also "norwegian drum and bass" which I believe stems from ps.

For the exact phrase "nordic breakbeat conspiracy", I believe it was actually I who combined the two. ;)

for fucks sake, is there _any_ norwegian group which _does not_ use electro drum n bass for their demos soundtrack?!? there are other music styles just as effective for wow effects, cant you like, as a nation, get over the trend already? it was annoying 2 years ago already.

We have discussed this in the Official Norwegian Guild for Demoscene Musicians, and after a vote we have decided on an answer:
No.

all this conspiracy-talk fails to take into consideration, that electro dnb is SUPERIOR to german gay porn music, which seems to be the only other real tendency in the demoscene :)

very very norwegian style demo (uptempo breakbeat soundtrack with rough but clean techy visuals)
in his comment on this back in 2006 (no Gloom, not one of your tracks ;)

nordic conspiracy was xenusion (over a scene.org awards discussion a couple years back)
norwegian electro drum n bass was me (over a half dozen pouet prod comments)
