Who wants to join TRSI?

category: general [glöplog]
Just another episode in the shanetheclown's show.
I think you can do better, entertaining peasants like arneweisse isn't really a challenge.

(Chief coder ??? wtf).

And if u ever was, which noone really knows, consider yourself as motherfucking KICKED.

he never was, i thought that's clear :)

i don't think it's as much "fame seeking" as it is creating commotion and stirring up controversy. which is basically what shane's character seems to be about. and even the trsi shit had quite an impact already the previous time he did it (i.e. when i was a member) so i suppose he can feel accomplished with his weird goals.

Dipswitch. Whatever man. I know both artists, and think they release quality stuff, NOW! there is a reason that the dnbscene has started paying real attention to them. THEY GOT BETTER! thus got hired by better labels.

But please enlighten me. What has trsi done within the last 5 years that makes them so outstanding?

muha.. nevertheless, I cannot think of any group that would have deserved it more. TRSI may have had some reasonable releases on the amiga in the early 90ies, but that was more than TEN YEARS AGO!

And still they act like uber1337 clownz.. Todays members probably were still toddlers when TRSIs foundations were laid.

hm... okay... ever heard of FAME bbs system? best ami-x clone ever. and it was done by trsi. but i guess you don't even know what a bbs is at all.

and what about the amiga majors trsi was still hitting out until 5 years ago?...

hello, are you nuts? today's trsi leader is irata, THE SAME who founded red sector back in the 80s. so what the bullshit are you talking...

seriously i dont know why i have to defend trsi so much all of the sudden, but it's just too sad what some shitheads are thinking/talking...

Sorry, this is about DEMOS and not about some ancient /X w4r3z BBS scene.. Frankly, I never really cared about BBS.

well, fuck you dude, what do you think the main way of communication and file exchange in the _amiga_ _demoscene_ always was till a certain point? get a clue. really getting a headache from talking with dumb peeps...

Yes, using derogative language = Veery clever, right?

I just deleted am insightful 40-lines post I was just typing, just to put it short: Why don't you kids go play elsewhere and let TRSI rest in peace? Reviving a retired group by overtaking its name is no better (nor worse) than what Silents/Scoopex/S!P/whoever tried to do. There's just nothing to see here.

kb: agreed. 100% right.

dipswitch: actually, indisc records in norway brought you muffler before urban takeover in the uk did. i know because i was signed to the same label (until it went bankrupt, that is :)

Am I the only one who was under the impression that SHANE DID NOT MEAN THIS SERIOUS? YHBT HTH HAND...

kb: btw, thanks for supporting my point that TRSI is long dead, at least from an outside and demo point of view.
added on the 2004-10-23 16:41:35 by Stelthzje Stelthzje
hehe how true, demo = outside... :P if you only care for demo you're outside the scene as whole for sure.

dip: kb (of most famous group) just acknowledged that TRSI is dead, I quote: " let TRSI rest in peace"

stelthz: Of course not, just relax man.

kb_: as far as i know there's no overtaking there, but maybe i am mis-informed on this matter, after all i'm just a coder (and therefore i code) and i mostly deal with irata and docd about that topic, the rest doesn't really concern me.

Oh ok, in the first place I thought you were denying the death of TRSI.

so, how can there be an overtake if irata who originally founded the group is still leading it? kinda make no sense for me. what shane planned would be an overtake, but he's just trolling anyway.

also, stelthz, just the fact that kb is "of most famous group" doesnt urge me to agree with him on every point. from a "demo" point of view trsi was dead long time, thats for sure, but as a classic scene group trsi shouldn't be understood as a demo group in the new school sense. i don't blame kb or anyone else for not noticing trsi's activities over the year on not-primarily-demoscene-related fields, it's just that you all are getting only a tiny part of the whole picture.

and btw, kb, i dont see your problems with the temoprary re-inacting of silents. the driving force between it was barock, an original silents member, so it was fully legit. and the results were everything else than bad comparing to other "resurrections", it's just too bad that many factors, including disrespective behavour from todays demoscene, put an end to silents' revival.
