category: general [glöplog]

they did in the train back from evoke. they stopped doing it for some time because my latest logo got 0 votes, which sounds strange, which is another way to tell you that there might be a bug on this point as well.

That's just a misnomer - "votes" should be "score" or "balance" i.e. it's not the amount of people who voted for it, but what the final tally of that logo is.

oh, alright. and this green dot shows people who are online in the thread you're on or on the site? i'm getting old, i don't get it all.

i'll be sued later.

The stats box keeps its values far too long imho. The latest comments counter used to be rather close to realtime, now it seems to be stuck at +315 for a day or so.

iks: Green dot = "recent activity", keeps appearing for a while after you've logged out.

We look a little funny in IE 8 I'm stuck with at work.

@Emod : have you tried FireFox or Chrome portable version ? They do not need any installation or administrator rights. What you only need is to find the proxy address (not that hard).

Oh thanks Tigrou. I'll take a look at that.

As everyone is asking what this green dot is all about, maybe you want to replace it by an image tag (as opposed to background picture) with title="Online" on it.
or maybe two circles green/red based on the connectivity?

in the 'we like...' there are some icons like ojuice, chip on and maybe others, that do not appear here when you click 'more...'

prodlist.php filtering seems to break in some cases. Here's what I did:

1. From platform selection select MS-Dos and MS-Dos/Gus, click submit (you get all dos productions as expected)
2. From type selection select 'demo', click submit (filters to all dos demos)
3. From type selection also select 64k alongside with demo, click submit

What then happens is that the platform selection becomes ignored, and you get all 64ks and demos from a load of different platforms. It doesn't matter how you select them, you can do all of the aforementioned steps at once. This is the query that it produces.

I was really confused at first and especially after trying with some other platforms (Amiga OCS/AGA fae), but it seems to me it's doing some weird OR-operation at some point instead of AND'ing the selections together. Not sure exactly what is happening but certainly not expected behaviour (nor how it worked in 1.0) and something that should be looked at.

Hey, seems i found another little bug.

Tested on latest Chrome beta and Firefox beta.

Go to your Account settings - sitewide settings - set "front page - links:" to "hidden". Now return to the main page (works, it's hidden), but if you logout and re-login it's again there (the options page show it's hidden but it's enabled again).

@Emod
Time to update your browser/os. XP is not supported anymore by MS (only until apr. 2014).

@panic
I agree in that. Imho that would be better. :)

I think the behavior of CDCs on prods changed. See here http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=61740. If you have paging enabled (say 25 per page), page one has a post with a CDC on it. If you flip to page two, now it's listed at the bottom as a sneaky CDC.

I thought in the previous version of Pouet (not that I would know, since I haven't earned a CDC yet) you could give a CDC without commenting/voting, which is what made it sneaky. Not that it was just hidden on another page of comments.
Permalogin should work now - thx to redhound.

I guess your actual webserver has problems connecting to the SQL database sometimes?

gargaj + redhound: this was the most annoying bug (logging in on a phone isn't so much fun :) so huge thanks. Again.

Exin: we tried / are trying to get the MySQL UTF8MB4 thing working, sorry about that. The server is fine, we're just tweaking it.

the lastprodsreleased RSS feed *is* working now, but filtering by platform isn't:

http://www.pouet.net/export/lastprodsreleased.rss.php?platform=Amiga%20AGA&type=demo&group=1&howmany=15

(if this is currently mid-fix, apologies for the noise :-) )
