Adok

i have never caught adok in a lie, and i dont see why he would do so when what he is saying is already publically embarassing as it is. so yes, i believe him. i'm sure his father didn't have 100% of the blame for what he wrote ofcourse, he might have believed some of it himself at some point, but aknowledging now that he doesnt agree with those views is good enough redemption for me. i believe he knows he was in the wrong and that it wasn't completely someone else's fault. some people take longer to rebel from their parents, i actually visited him in his house 12 years ago, i had a glimpse of how controlling his parents were.

so we should have made that a "free adok" thing right from the start? crazy idea.

sure... why not?!?

i know half of the shit... but... some things i read and that have to go are the "learned" racial (perhaps) issues and getting him out of political interest, which is way too much of a picture for a (ir)regular person anyway.

far from that... there's nothing wrong "releasing" him as a person. what can he do?!? he does therotical math. not much he can do with it. how much damage there's to happen?!?

simple.

still kinda giggling how that wants to be resolved. :D

Okay, fair enough. I had no idea you have been at his house. And it is true of course, over controlling parents can have seriously bad effects on the development of an individual.

And ringofyre, I hate nothing more than people spreading lies. I completed my studies with a doctorate and a master in another subject and am working fulltime now. And I am 29, not in my 30s.

Fair enough. Based on old info maybe.
Now if only there was an "edit" button to click.

adok: first of all, i hope your dad's health improves soon. second, i wish you courage and wisdom in handling your new situation and the making advantage of the opportunities it presents.

The racist views are mostly my father's and not my own. He used in the past to sit next to me in front of the computer and tell me what to write.

At 28-29 you really should get your own computer mate - you had some interesting posts on fb only a couple of months ago about Judaism and eugenics.
Again I apologise if anything in my other post was inaccurate but quite frankly if you're going to "blame" someone else for your views then lets all be held to the same level of truth telling. Yeah?

So, Adok loves to write, well then if it's true that his father "forced him to write" stuff, now he's got the opportunity to start disclaming many things he has "written" in the past.

Adok, perhaps an apology for calling us unintelligent and stupid might be a good start.
Or even show us a slight hint of a possibility of you respecting the opinion and achievements of others.
Or stop bringing up discussions about yourself or topics that don't even remotely have anything to do with the demoscene, since this never ends well.
Or anything that establishes positive bonds with other comunity members. Think about what you want to achieve before you post.

You can't make up for something bad you did in the past with just erasing it from existence. People have memories, and they won't change by themselves.

And finally, sometimes it's not enough to simply say "sorry" and delete. Depending on the damage dealt, you can't expect people to take that "sorry" and assume that all is good.

You have to live with the consequences of your actions, regardless if you were forced to take them.

ok can anyone who is doubting adok's story please explain me why the fuck he would put this stuff about his dad in the public if it wasn't the truth? do you really believe he all of a sudden acquired major social engineering skills and invented this story merely as a scheme to cleanse his past? i don't think that's very likely at all so there must be at least some truth to the story. if there is any truth to the fact that it took a person 29 years to come to terms with his upbringing enough to take it public, how realistic is it to expect full and unequivocal resolution to all the issues this person has been dealing with only days after? let's stay real here, it is not realistic in any way, and simply dismissing adok's story followed by rinse and repeat of arguments and demands made many times in the past makes certain people look rather douchey.

havoc: agreed, with just one remark: he's already admitted that he was forced to write down stuff, that his father told him, without really believing or meaning it. That's what I was referring to with the fact, that he now has the opportunity to disclaim those things.

Yeah, right.
I bet it was also his evil father who told him to tell panic "You are from Saudi Arabia? Go ride your camel." in this thread just nearly 7 months ago.
Next thing he will be trying to tell us will be that he was anally raped by his father for 29 years now.

Sir: and you never told anyone to sod off after they been bothering you for a long time?

psenough: I have never been bothered for a "long" time. Not even by Adok. But the scene != pouet has been bothered. For years now. And you know that. But since you already were a guest at his home: why don´t go there again? I am sure it will be fun.

you seem to be bothered right now.

Ok, ok, let's assume his story is true, the next thing Adok should do is to apologize to all racism articles/posts in formal way then we can recognize his efforts.

What you think?

^ An unqualified apology with no attempt to cast the blame elsewhere? - when I see it accept it.

who cares about that apology anyway? if you keep telling him to apologize for smth he clearly does not feel sorry for, how much worth does that apology eventually have? just seek comfort in pity.

and even if there is a (small) truth in adok's statement with his dad and that he might have influenced him, ok. fair for that racist tone. but the whole 'daddy was watching along' thing is a cheap excuse for the many on-the-person attacks i've seen from him. and what's this thing with austrians locking up kids? ;)
btw Sir, some people are also quite offended by your constant fecal-fetishist and/or sexist spamming on pouet, so please shut the fuck up blaming others, kthxbye.

(this is in no way a defendence of adok thus does not really belong in this thread, just a thing that annoys me)

I had a pretty controlling family (well still do) what he is saying is not unreasonable, nor is the difficulty with changing how you think and automatically respond when having a bad day.

adok: if you get the chance, tell your dad what it did to you. it hasnt changed my relationship with my parents, but i feel a lot more comfortable with myself. just do your best and the rest will follow.

also, make a demo about it :) could be cathartic.
