ps: thanks! working now, thought I'd have to install it manually and downloaded the script. But hey, it's the new millenium. Anyway, great script !

Glad you all enjoy the script though some have little difficulties or are not used with GreaseMonkey.

Tools > Install User Script?

I don't have that option....
have you installed GreaseMonkey before ?

yeah..nice stuff.
poi, why does the script hide the entire thread rahter than just the user I want to ignore?
it hides the thread if it's been created by a user you ignore. Click on the trumpet in the corner to show ALL the threads and messages.

Cuz the thread is posted with the user's id, rather than a thread id.

I like it this way.
Hey, this script rox! :-)

I want to add a list with the userId of the "attention whores", below the big trumpet.

When you'll click on an id, do you prefer to toggle the "attention whore" status of that user, or to go to his/her profile ?

i would rather see a list on the tootip..

Ah, works wonderful! Had to play around a bit, but works great (minus not being able to see threads or "latest comments" by those users... but that's unavoidable...
What are people with Opera and Konqueror and Safari to do now, though?
....

Another plugin I like is the "nuke anything" plugin, that will erase anything on the page from being displayed, like, say, the submit button... oops.

To recap for people like me:
go to this link, click on the download button (you may have to add the site to an allowed software install site) and then restart Firefox.
Then, go here and, while the page is loaded, go to Tools-Install User Script.

Once that's done, you should see the trumpet icon in the top left corner. Click on it, and you'll see trumpets by every user name. Click on them to toggle 'annoyinguser' status, and click the big trumpet again to hide the users of your choice.

End of blatant howto.

Pouet "attention whores" toggle v1.01 available.

For those who have already installed the script, install the new version over it. And if it doesn't work go to Tools > Manage User Scripts, uninstall the PAWT script, then install the new version

changes: When the AW are visible, below the big trumpet there's a list with the id of the AW and a link to their profile. That way it should be easier to keep track of who you flagged as AW, and feed the "whore me beautyfull" thread

ps: sorry, the tooltip was cut at ~80 characters, so it wasn't usable that way

you know what really sucks? that one has to keep increasing size window on the manage scripts thing to discover the uninstall button..

ps: Yep the long list of included pages bores me too. I hope the authors of GreaseMonkey will put a slider in the next version. Well actually if you never go on pouet via http://pouet.net ( notice the lack of www. or test. ), you could remove half of the URLs in the list of included pages.
