Madonna vs Amondo ?

category: general [glöplog]

i was headbanging on the last Madonna's (surprisingly awesome) album and instantly found her banging anthem I LOVE NEW YORK quite familiar... being a fan of Aenima's wild Amondo.

As other tracks do shamelessly borrow infectious samples from classic hits like Stardust's, Donna Summer's or the Jacksons', i wonder if this similarity is fortuitous or not :>

I just spoke to Madonna, and she admits to stealing from all of the above. YOU WIN!
Slummy, thats true, but to me she also said it was all misstake by her producer and he's now fired. She is supposedly going public this weekend.

and Stardust shamelessly borrowed samples from Chaka Khan, so all is well.

I have also noticed that ABBA stole some samples from Byteraper's demo!

hmm... after the initial positive feelings the album left me cold. way much over-produced even for the dancefloor. coma preferred over this one.

sampling is always good, as long as it is performed well.
