son of a scener...

category: general [glöplog]
It may be a supper silly question, but I'm sure won't be the silliest one here..

As it's now starting to be a more possible time, I was wondering if any of the sceners that had some kids teached them about all this and if is there any who are following the steps of his father (mother?)...

I'm curious because all this usually goes from friend to friend, maybe brothers, family, but didn't heard yet about a son of a scener which is a scener too..

anyone?

My son enjoys the Hybris titlesong very much. His doing a groovy dance whenever he hears it. (he's two years old)

With time, I will personally make sure that Andromeda gets TONS of new coders. World domination!!!

Kulri's daughter is going to be such a handful when she grows up like her parents.

"But Daaaad, all my friends get to go to Boozembly!"

Dixan: actually, they've worked on some demo stuff. Course, that was his younger son and nephew. The older son apparently is working on something on a different platform for Assembly.
OK, OK, I admit: Okkie is my dad. So I am probably the first true "son of a scener". If I manage to let him sign the adoption forms before the alcohol level in his blood tumbles. Or smth. :-)

I do think sceners should pass their skills on to their kids.

I wishes I were good at gfx or music. Then I could teach it to my future kids. But I'm not good at it. I can only teach them writing and a bit of coding :(

Its about time that some known female sceners
give bith to a new generation and breed
of active demo sceners for the future!!

Magic: I remember reading on Ojuice that some Hungarian scenesses have already given birth to children. And as you can read in this thread, there are some fathers, too... (and even more, e.g. I recall Trixter/Hornet is father)

I'm still too young for reproducing though. First I have to see to it that I become something.

In a near future we dont need son or doughters of sceners.

AI will make it possible around 2096 that
computers have than taken over the scene completely and no sceners are needed
(except to party at breakpoint 2096 and enjoy the competitions ;-)

i want to be your son ;)
My daughter really like demos and after each one she says "just one more..". But it has to be colorful and filled with action, she really hate Chimera.

ekoli, your daughter seems to be with EP (remember: "remove black from demos") ;-)

I think, likes lots of people here, i'm really happy to be born in the 70's and grow up with first computer (my dad bought a Commodore PET2001 in 1982 when i was 6 years old) and after with the demoscene :)

I'm a bit a son of "hacker" or "pirate" because I remember when i was 7 year old, my father bring me with him at some "copy party" at some contact's home found on french Minitel board.
Also, my dad has downloaded warez on Minitel too with his C64 :)
I think he was not so bad at coding because one he said me he coded a compiler on the C64 (i discover that just some years ago).

ho, and a last one funny things... Mom and I has to support HOURS of C64 warez tapes recording on the family Hi-Fi at FULL volume because it was impossible to record without sound (yes ok, dad can disabled speaker...). *SKKKRRRRRRRIOUIKKK-schbling-shlfling-CRRRRUIIIIKK*
