Excuse me for not coming for some hours here but I was sleeping, also Heaven Seven won't be rereleased in 2026 - I think a magnetron does accelerate electrons.

how so? - Glass-blowing, Romans knew. Then super simple vaccum pump, with running water and a tap, which Romans had plenty of. Phosphorus (from urine) coating on the anode side of the evacuated glass tube. Many Iron/Copper cells for current. Boom. You got yourself a crude Crookes tube. Now you're in business.

- @preacher : True enough, but... People did it in the 19th century. So, probably feasible with Roman tech. Also, there are simple ways to produce high voltages. :D Start : Hash your current (easy) with a mechanical breaker. Then put that into special geometries (transformers).
- Or reap the lightning. (Not ride it.)
