check with glCheckFramebufferStatus. my guess is on the attached texture being incorrect, remember to state your minification and magnification interpolation (nearest/linear) and double check the internal type. -
see what the opengl/fbo errors say and you can probably fix it - not that you can't do a cool demo without fbos ;) -
optimus, fbos are for directly rendering to texture. they're just faster than the older methods. - 2012-05-15
