About the same for me, would have cost me much more to have a good GeForce, so I choosed a high-end Radeon instead... Almost everything runs fine... And I agree with hardy, they seem to consume way more, but are a bit more powerful and expensive... Dunno about the noise tho... - 2012-08-19

If everything works fine, then maybe its my 64bits win7? :-/ - Nope, running Win 7 Pro 64 too here... But as I said, some demos won't run on my machine... Rest works fine... Never encoutered any problem in games...

well, uncompatibility due to x64-systems is very common still in 2012 ;) maybe ask around a bit in irc, compare if demos/intros work on other setups with ati ;) -

iirc a lot of demos don't work with ATI is because a ATI cards are more picky about shader code than NVidia cards. -
ATI sucks. - ATI is more strict, NVIDIA is more relaxed, they are like teachers, the difference is that one teatches you how to sucess and the other fail.

ATI is somewhat more strict on shader syntax, but NVIDIA is more strict on floating point -- ATI would consume something/0. (or just too close to zero) just fine, while nVidia would pollute everything with NaNs -
