General comments about the competition:

There was some issues with the competition rules - some don't
quit with ESC and one demo don't seem to have any sound. We
still decided that we'll vote for all of the demos.

Seems that quitting with ESC in the Tonrauschen demos work fine
in some computers and don't work at all in some.

  Get ready for the TMDC5.

Comments:
This was tight for the top three. Two of them sucked big time...
But the best was a very difficult pick.
        -- escimo/Grin^tAAt
A few good demos. And it's also nice to see new sceners
contributing - although the Q(uick)Basic demos can't really
  compete with others.
        -- tonic

On 'Holiday by Tonrauschen':
  Doesn't quit with ESC
        -- !Cube / Armada + SCS*TRC + Scallop
Ouch. One pitty point. Was there sound at all?
        -- escimo/Grin^tAAt
  A bit boring
        -- McLad/Grin^tAAt
A good one.. if you happen to like gwbasic.
        -- phaser / grin
  no comments.
        -- Random
No sound. Ugly. Breaks rules as there's no way to exit.
        -- Sol
Technically not sophisticated but nice hunch of effort and design.
        -- st Rana
No sound? Effects stay in theme of the title. Nice try.
The wireframe vectors are buggy on at least some computers
due to clearing+drawing in screen buffer but still using
  vertical retrace synching.
        -- tonic

On 'TextOS by Tonrauschen':
  Doesn't quit with ESC
        -- !Cube / Armada + SCS*TRC + Scallop
Joke? Well I didn't get it. Aarg! This is ugly as. And that sound!
Another Aargh! I will have a head ache for the rest of the day.
My personal hatered for PC-speaker settles it not even one mercy point.
        -- escimo/Grin^tAAt
  Funny idea
        -- McLad/Grin^tAAt
  Boring.
        -- phaser / grin
pc speaker was good joke but...=)
        -- Random
PC speaker sound. Breaks rules as there's no way to exit.
        -- Sol
  Hilarious.
        -- tonic

On 'flowres by Numedia Cyclops':
Too few colors used so it made it look a bit dull
        -- !Cube / Armada + SCS*TRC + Scallop
This is OK. But just OK. Music is the best part. Probably the best
music among the entries. Didn't like the colours though.
        -- escimo/Grin^tAAt
  nice
        -- McLad/Grin^tAAt
A nice and colorful demo, not too technical
        -- phaser / grin
I can imagine that someone had some good ideas on design, but their
realization collapsed right from the begin. Graphics sucks and
  rasterizing wasn't very good.
In some effects, Numedia Cyclops didn't consider that this
  is textmode at all.
        -- Random
  Interesting choise of colors..
        -- Sol
Most of the effects were not good in text mode.
        -- st Rana
Extra points for making effects especially for text mode with
textmode special characters. But rest of the effects didn't
didn't work very well in text mode at all.
        -- tonic

On 'contact by portal project':
Very close to Super Killer but some effects could've been shorter
        -- !Cube / Armada + SCS*TRC + Scallop
This isn't bad, no way. It didn't just blow my mind. Maybe a bit boring?
The worst music among top three.
Some fx didn't work in textmode and the demo left the feeling that it was
just ported to tm without paying much attention to how it might work.
        -- escimo/Grin^tAAt
Excellent, though it's just a lowres demo in block color mode.
        -- phaser / grin
Nice design, nice musics. In textmode you guys should appreciate
  simpliness.
        -- Random
I had really high hopes for this demo, and it's clearly one of the two
real demos in this compo. I think I was expecting the demo to *start*
at some point but it sort of didn't.
        -- Sol
Pretty nice demo, although I had to start it first in window
and then change to fullscreen to get sound working.. and I
got it running in 80x25 mode (with half of the effect visible)
by starting it in 80x25 fullscreen mode.
        -- tonic

On 'Super Killer by dairos, nula, para, raist, stonda, tpp':
Best one clearly but doesn't quit with ESC
        -- !Cube / Armada + SCS*TRC + Scallop
And we have a winner. Music was OK and it was well syncronized with fx.
It seemed limitations of the text mode were taken into account.
        -- escimo/Grin^tAAt
  Great colors and contrast
        -- McLad/Grin^tAAt
Great music, good effects. Full potential of textmode not used.
        -- phaser / grin
Best one of the entries. The part with orangish env-mapped thingie
was only part of the democompo that was very good looking in textmode.
Still music was awful and other parts didn't have enough contrast
  and colors were crappy.
        -- Random
  Kickass!
        -- Sol
  Best effects in the compo.
        -- st Rana
A little bit better than contact by portal project. Most
  effects fit well to textmode.
        -- tonic
