I hope you'll like this very "vintage" production coded in a hurry a few weeks before the BP.
Nothing very "astounding" compared to the PSP capabilities but, we try, to give a real amiga/atari old(sk00l) demo flavor.
And, as the hidden screen (did you find it ? Coding it was a real fun ;-) ), a special tribute to the old games that we all played a lot !

So this is the first production from TRSI and TiTAN on the PSP, expect more soon !
Hey Shazz :D ... on the dark side now? ;)
rulez added on the 2006-04-18 14:15:29 by ltk_tscc ltk_tscc
Eh eh yep Lotek, I never thought I'll code something with c64/amiga freaks :D (that's my dark side), PSP coding is as fun as coding on the Atari Falcon... believe me ;-)
Nice GFX, but as far as I remember, then all routines but the blur looks like something that I could do on my GBA. Isn't the CPU able to clock up to 300 MHz?

First TRSI-Titan cooperation! Enjoy it dudes, and wait more from that cooperation :)
It was great to drink beers with you trsi guys, as always!
See you at Evoke.

Lord Graga, you're right but please read my first comment above, that was not the goal of this first production... that's Bloody memories

Expect something different next time ;-)
very classy demo. although feels dated for sure, this has some true _demo_ spirit which i havent seen for a long time. the effects were an eyecandy (a bit too long though), and so were the graphics! h2o, you kick ass!
rulez added on the 2006-04-18 15:10:30 by dipswitch dipswitch
Well its really simply explained ...
This demo´s goal have been 2 different things :

1. Show that the real old sceners are still able to code on newschool machines.

2. Show that a demo MUST NOT be a flight through the cheese.
This becomes more and more boring on new demos, just to fly through a 3d Word is for me as "older" Scener really boring.

And maybe you did not see but the "Theme" of this Demo was "BLOODY MEMORIES" , which means for me e.G. AMIGA ECS Demos.

I dont want to blame people but a lot of sceners try to sell cheap SCROLLER, STARFIELD, LOGO Intros as Oldschool, and i think thats not true at all ...

If you ever had an amiga and followed Demos like : "Misery 1&2, Wicked Sensation, 3d Demo, Hardwired ... " you will like what we did here ( also in 2 Weeks without any big PSP Knowledge before ...

Since it doesn't work on my psp you're doomed to grab a video capture asap.

Important : Dont use Installer tools or rename the folders to hide "corrupted data" then it should work ... Excuse us , next releases will be cleaned up ..

wow! true crap and shitloads of selfvoting on pouet, who wouldve guessed something like that from TITAN?!

1 thumb up for TRSI
2 thumb down for titan
So... 1 thumb up + 2 thumb down = 1 thumb down

i'll just avoid the flamefest for now and consider this as something i probably don't understand.

thumb down for self voting is as lame as self voting.
this product rulez!

@h2o old AtariST demos fit in description "SCROLLER, STARFIELD, LOGO Intros" so this is Oldschool!

Alien, somebody told me it's working on PSP 2.6, not the case on 2.01 ?

Else I'll probably to a post party release with full PSP support (maybe the file paths)

BTW, would it be people that people vote for the prod and not for who did what ????
Erm sorry guys. I always though the PSP is nearly a PS2
sucks added on the 2006-04-19 10:07:53 by Hopper/SquoQuo Hopper/SquoQuo
@calimero : I dont blame those really old intros, i blame the people who say : Its oldschool because they are not able to code more than an Scroller, Starfileld, Logo ....

About selfvoting : I didnt know excuse me ...

@hopper : Why nobody did a better PSP Demo before, at the moment iam sure its the best demo avaible ...

I've been bad tongue since it works on 2.6 with the 0.97 version of the loader. The capacities of the machine don't seem to be exploited to the full :D

Ooh, a rotating untextured cube on a PSP. Very impressive!

I like it since it reminds me a lot of the Misery Dentro Masque/TRSI did on Amiga back in the day. :)

You guys rocked my PSP! As the name says bloody memories. I really like this one, brings up lot of good memories from oldtimes. Even works nicely on my 2.01! Was so nice to finally meet loads of trsi members there. BP rocked, so did TRSI & Titan!

Dubmood got himself a little 'pot to kettle' situation there it seems. And Hopper, the PSP is not really as powerful as the PS2.

So there.

I like sony. They did an awsome DSP for SNES. :D

Can you make a video of it?

Well.. no. BTW: there is a FW 2.6 -> 1.5 downgrader out there
sucks added on the 2006-07-07 16:17:01 by Kauto Kauto
Finally got around to watching it after downgrading back to 1.5 (I was an idiot for upgrading), and I really like it. Could have done without the 14 billion spinning things though.
rulez added on the 2006-07-14 07:14:10 by SiW SiW
This was great fun, supplemented by an enjoyable 'hidden' section. I have low expectations and make few demands of my rechargeable Sony paperweight, so a couple of good tunes and some nice things to look at do absolutely no harm at all.

Had some nice gfx and the tunes weren't that bad. But seriously, memories or not, all effects were worse than they ever were on the Amiga, and that's a big no-no.

To get this to work on a Slim with 5.00 M33-U6, use eLoader (LEDA doesn't work).

Great Amiga demo.. Errr... Well, doesn't seem to push anything PSP-wise, but well styled. First greetz I've ever really enjoyed and cool ending. First real 'hidden' part I've found too. lol
