hm... the design more feels like muddy art for me.

while i am usually more on the "low content" comment side i too much enjoyed the music and the fadeone and cougar interviews. nice

oh... and this was not the "dreamer" i expected :)

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this issue early enough, because from the first issue on, i fell in love with the concept and i hope ATZ will stay true to it.
I very much enjoyed reading all of the content (which was luckily extended in comparison to the last issue), listen to all the music (same amount) and admire the drawing skills of the included graphicans (same amount, with a little text"bug" in the selection menu).
Sadly i am a fast reader, so it felt just like having a snack before the meal. ;)
But despite the fact that i would love to read more, i wouldn't expand it to death.

If it wasn't all about demoscene art, i would have considered "writings" as a third creative category, but i don't ;)

Thank you again for this enjoyable trip through demoscene time.

So nice releasing this on the day of official deadline of hugi#35 ;-)

I found the used font disturbing with the letters which didnt have the same height..
Engine got really better I must say!
Wade strikes again after JailHouseVoices with tremendous nice artwork!

Reading about my old friend dreamer, which I am still in contact with from time to time, was really nice (though i knew almost everything anyway)

A nice trip to the past for sure! Thumb!

p.s. no hidden part?? :)

Excellent stuff! Great music, great gfx and interesting articles! I'm happy to read something about Cougar, who is one of my alltime favourite gfx artists on Amiga!

yup,the dreamer i hoped for aswell! :)
you seem to dig out the best-of-the-best out of nowhere every issue! very good job there!
i also like the design a lot more now! the first one wasnt really that bad,but seemed a bit rushed!

all in all i hope there´ll follow a lot more issues...that concept is way better than i thought all the years! :)

@EVERYONE: VOTE for the next Issues! ;)

Mudia Art #3

The third issue of Mudia Art was released on October 31st, 2008. It features a new interface with a better legible font and graphics by Wade of Alcatraz. The annoying mouse controls (no button for full-page scrolling, and having to click on the line-wise scroll
button again and again instead of keeping the mouse button pressed) have still not been changed. 34 voters contributed to the charts, the categories are graphicians, slideshows, musicians, musicdisks, pictures and tunes. (In the pictures category, the closing picture of Hugi #34 shares place #1 with a picture by Helge of Haujobb.)

The featured artists in this issue are the musicians Dreamer and Magnar, and the graphicians FadeOne and Cougar. The articles introducing the artists were written by Mop, and that's why they are in a good style and interesting. The selection of the sample works of art is also good. Apart from these contents, there are also some reviews of slideshows, pictures and musicdisks.

In the article about Dreamer a mistake struck my eyes: The article stated that Dreamer was born in 1987. I was immediately puzzled because I was born in 1983. Four years younger than me and a PhD already? Then I read that he is already more than 30 years old. So it should have probably been 1977 instead of 1987.

In the article about Cougar I was unhappy to read that he is driving 100 km a day from his hometown Kempten im Allgдu to his work place in Munich. What a waste of time and talent! How many good pictures could Cougar draw in the hours he loses every day taking such a long journey! Or he could spend more time with his family if he was living closer to his work place.

A few remarks about the code: The zooming of the text when entering or leaving an article is great. What's annoying is that when you press the right mouse button to return to the main menu, it sometimes happens that you exit the magazine.

All in all, it's a decent issue with an engine that could still be improved a bit.

This artpack was a very pleasant. But dancing lines in articles makes my eyes tired quckly.
