I just tried with an XM yesterday and it seemed to work fine.

However, I've already spotted a couple of S3M files that don't play properly, Skaven's HEREYES.S3M and DATAJACK.S3M as found in http://www.futurecrew.com/skaven/music_tracker.html ; the playback hangs after the first pattern.
