So it's a screen recording tool with an emphasis on demos. It's real time (so not like kkapture) but it can record your prod in pristine, stable 4K60 (or more if you got the hardware) without slowing it down, and you get more fine grained codec settings than with conventional tools :)

Bonus feature: It optionally only records when something is fullscreen, so if you're a party organizer, just let it run while you're testing the demos, and your HD will magically fill up with recordings that you can then use or upload.

Thumb for releasing this nice tiny tool. Sounds great and screenshot looks nice. Am I correct that it only works for NVIDIA cards?

danke Tammo.

Now that you have the tools, you need to organize a party, decca!

Great! Maybe it will replace OBS /NVEnc

there are a lot of good and well organized parties, no need for another one IMHO

Now fresh - Capturinha 0.2.0 - The Quality Update

Now with INFINITY% more compute shaders - capturing uses less GPU and VRAM, and I added extra high quality encoding profiles that should make it fit for presenting prods at the big screens we'll hopefully state at in the not so far future again.

Also a lot of bug fixes and some added description what the encoder settings are for.

wysiwtf: Get the ffmpeg binaries here: https://github.com/BtbN/FFmpeg-Builds/releases - The v4.4-[...]-win64-lgpl-shared-4.4.zip one should work.

I currently don't include them in the zip bc of patent issues, and I'm waaay too lazy for writing an installer, sorry :)

It fails
C:\code\ScreenCap\graphics.ccp(855): D3D call failed (887a002d).
Not sure what's up here. Dxdiag (v 10.00.19041.0928 64-bit Unicode) tells me I'm running DirectX 12.
FWIW, there is no C:\code\ScreenCap\graphics.ccp file, nor directory.

I'll take this to your github, but graphics.cpp line 855 is:

DXERR(D3D11CreateDevice(Output.Adapter, Output.Adapter.IsValid() ? D3D_DRIVER_TYPE_UNKNOWN : D3D_DRIVER_TYPE_HARDWARE, NULL, flags, levels, _countof(levels), D3D11_SDK_VERSION, dev0, &FeatureLevel, ctx0));

Fine, I wanted to wait with the next release a bit but this bug warrants one - 0.3.0 released, available at the download URL.

Now with - Oldschool Upscale

Did you want to upload your older low-res stuff or your favourite emu output, but Youtube completely destroyed the video with its low bitrates? Fret no more! Because with Oldschool Upscale (TM) you can convert your precious pixels into perfectly sized little squares until you hit the resolution where even YT can't help itself but give you the good bitrates!

Oh look, a new release!

Because, like, I would really love to see PC demos go High Dynamic Range, and you people have only shied away from that because you didn't have any idea how to upload your precious HDR productions to YouTube, have you? Well fear no more! Just capture a HDR screen and you'll get a HDR video that you can show and upload everywhere you want to! Including your parents' brand new TV! (you know you want to)
