rocked on the big-screen. great music. could have ranked better imo.

an other stuning release by smash ... carry on the good work

some notes about this:

- it fucked up bigstyle when it was played during the compo, the water scene in the middle was replaced with a nice view of the zbuffer :) and the city scene only the specular pass was shown, no light + shadow pass, so looked weird. it turned out the drivers on the compo machine caused this, we got some possibly more stable earlier ones installed and it worked fine, they replayed it just after the compo (thanks ryg) and all was ok.. unfortunately everyone was outside by then boozing, doh =)

- much of the work was dodgy buggy party coding :D handed it in 2 minutes before the intro compo deadline, the ending totally bugs (obviously my script goes to hell near the end), we had to abuse the music a bit to get under the size limit in time for the compo, sorry reed =)

- willbe made the turntable scene very quickly and late on at the party, thanks man =)

- will release a bugfix in the next couple of days to fix the obvious real howlers, maybe a final sometime later (we had to cut out a lot of material cos we were over the size limit with a couple of hours to go, DOH)

anyway.. erm.. no more party coding for me, just party boozing from now on =)

same error here too. go fix it. now!
added on the 2003-04-23 11:05:37 by teel teel
if you're getting this error its because your card doesnt support a rendertarget with the format d24 s8, a depthbuffer format, which i use for depthbuffer shadowmapping. it works on gf3-4, seems to not work at all on matrix parhelia, trying to find a usable format for radeons now. anyone know one that works on ati cards?

so, erm, hold on a while

Yes, a very nice intro. Too bad there was a fuckup during the compo, this should've placed higher... Funky Reed soundtrack, reminding of the oldskool times, but not too much and then of course the sparkling, shiny output of the whole intro. Thanks for the experience, guys!

Reed's sound rocked at the party, nice overall production, I hope that one will be bug-fixed so I can enjoy it too at home :)

i got a PIII 1ghz + gf4Ti4200 (drivers 40.72 certified)+ 512mb sdram.

d24 s8 should work, at least, DXcaps say so.
still got the same error as shadez...

waiting for a final;)

somewhat boring and too blurred. But not a bad prod

seeing as i had a more or less bugfixed "final" on my hd for about 8 months now, i thought i might upload it here:

it should actually work now on a decent number of cards (tested on ati and nvidia! wow). and some (although not all) of the partycoding mess managed to get undone in the process.

The FFT skyscrapers were ace, and I really liked the saturated colors, but perhaps it was somehow a bit.. monotonous? Still a very nice intro indeed :)

that was, imho, the ugliest glow effect I've seen in quite a while :( Soundtrack was nice, some of the visuals weren't completely ruined by the glow.
