Say Hi

A 256 bytes demo for Linux.
ANSI escape sequences running in a terminal.
Using the beeper.

Requirements:
A software terminal like Konsole or a text mode Linux terminal.

How to run in a text mode Linux Terminal:
1) Switch to a console. For example: Ctrl+Alt+F3
2) login.
3) cd to the folder where sayhi is located.
4) start with ./sayhi

How to run on a graphical Linux distro:
1) Open a terminal window. For example Konsole when using KDE.
2) cd to the folder where sayhi is located.
3) start with ./sayhi

Warning
After sayhi has been executed, the terminal may be in a
confusing state. White text on a white background.
1) press Ctrl C
2) type reset and press return

Sound
sayhi sends the Bell ASCII character to activate the beeper.
On systems with a graphical desktop, a selected system sound
is played, depending on the configuration.
Depending on your configuration, you will hear one of the
notification sounds or the plain beeper.
On many systems, these notification sounds are disabled by default.
