Why produce/release crack intros for other groups?
Well, first of all, it's a tradition from the 1980s
and thus, it's classy, so STFU :D
Moreover, HF - though currently a little on the
decline looking at some releases -
used to be a top group some years ago,
mentioned quite soon after REM and N0S,
and they still produce a whole lot of cracks.
My own group however, feels like having more intros
than cracks, so why not doing sth for our friends
in HF. What's more, when PETSCII-doodling around
some time ago, I came up with a 'font' that just
didn't match Mayday! (no planes) but (in my mind)
fit perfectly to Hokuto Force, so I was eager
to use it. And though I probably won't find time
to compete with 6 entries as the deadline is way
too close to BCC #20 Party, Compete or not Compete

In the .ZIP you also find the terrible source code
and the 1 and only binary <- for the PETSCII logo.
(Ab)Uses $0400-$13FF - No dirty tRYKs this time,
current ICC management seems very strict,
everything is very straight-forward and well-behaved
so no code pr0n to see here :)
Actually the lame ROL sprite scroller is sort of a
RAM waster regarding we're in 4K Intro category,
but Sprite Scroll was the only way that made sense
to me along with the PETSCII logo bouncing,
for 2 layers of PETSCII can really amaze,
but 3 layers in this case would have been
just plain crazy and looked rather shitty
not to mention the question of soft-scrolling
versus PETSCII hard-copying...

and didn't dare to bend the rules
to prevent my hometown from nightly US bombing...

I was pondering doing a more daring version
for the sake of gaining some 200 bytes more scrolltext
or adding a few more effects...
... but the rules... *sobbing* ;_(

into my whacko code (that's why no music binary had to
be included, it's all in the .asm source)
and shave off another dozen or sth bytes
