WHERE & WHEN
The Party 1994 will be held in Scandinavia's largest conference centre.
The centre is of course placed in Herning in the middle of Denmark. The
Party will be held from Tuesday 27 December at 10:00 CET to Friday 30
December at 10:00 CET.
FACILITIES:
- Room for at least 3000 people, including tables and chairs for
everybody.
- A quiet, separate hal for sleeping. But you are free to sleep where you
want to.
- Enough electricity for everyone, with a professional electrician 24
hours a day to avoid problems.
- All info about what's going on (surprises, competitions, events, winners
etc.) will be published on a large bulletin board near The Information
and on the big screen.
- 1000 x 800 cm high quality screen for competitions and other events.
- Extremely powerful PA equipment to guarantee perfect sound quality.
- Two cafeterias will be open all day. At night only one of them will be
open. A kiosk or two will also be open most of the day. Fair prices.
- The toilet and shower facilities are good. This year we have more than
35 free hot showers.
- Prof. cleaning company to ensure that you will be able to walk around in
the hall.
- The Party 1994 T-Shirts will be sold at The Information.
- Female organizers!
EVENTS:
- 62 hours non-stop activity.
- 9 main competitions with great prizes and a lot of strange and crazy
surprise competitions.
- Laser Matic; tomorrows laser technology in todays most exciting game.
Dark caves and extreme light effects. Thrilling sound effects and loud
background music. Beam up your buddy in the laser game you have to try.
- If you have made a music- og demovideo or another amazing thing, bring
it with you and we will gladly show it at the big screen. Just hand in
the production at The Information.
- Computer related seminars.

RULES:
Overall rules:
--------------
- All contributions must be delivered at The Information before deadline.
- If you want to take part in a competition you must be present at the
party.
- If too many contributions are delivered for a competition a competent
jury will make a selection.
- We copy and spread all contributions.
- The contribution disks will not be returned.
- The contributions will be assembled to a CD-ROM. All Prize-winners will
get royalties by granting exclusive distribution rights to the CD-ROM
media.
Amiga Demo:
-----------
- A group can contribute with as many demos as they want to but only one
from each coder.
- Max. demo lenght: 20 min.
- The demo must be able to run on a standard A1200 (2 MB chip).
Gfx Competition:
----------------
- Each artist is allowed to contribute with one picture.
- The picture must be delivered in ILBM format. Max resolution: 736 x 566
in 256 colors. Other wellknown formats are welcome too!
Music Competition:
------------------
- Each musician is allowed to contribute with one tune.
- We will play a max. of 5 min. per tune.
- Maximum amount of channels is 4, maximum size is 384 KB.
- The tune must be delivered as a mod.-file, in a Protracker comp. format.
Amiga Intro:
------------
- Max. intro length: 40KB.
- The intro must be able to run on a standard A1200 (2 MB chip).
PC Demo:
--------
- A group can contribute with as many demos as they want to but only one
from each coder.
- Max. demo lenght: 20 min.
- The demo will be shown on a standard 486 DX/2-66 MHz, 4 MB RAM, VL-BUS
VGA card with Soundblaster Pro II or Gravis Ultra Sound (1 MB) and no
other cards. However the demo should be able to run on a standard 386 DX
40Mhz PC.
- Output: VGA.
Multichannel Music Competition:
-------------------------------
- Each musician is allowed to contribute with one tune.
- We will play a max. of 5 min. per tune.
- Maximum amount of channels is 32, maximum size is 1 MB.
- The tune must be delivered in a S3M, XM or MOD format, which is playable
in either Scream Tracker or Fast Tracker II. If you prefer another
format, you are welcome to bring your own player.
PC Intro:
--------
- Max. intro length: 64KB.
- The demo will be shown on a standard 486 DX/2-66 MHz, 4 MB RAM, VL-BUS
VGA card with Soundblaster Pro II or Gravis Ultra Sound (1 MB) and no
other cards. However the demo should be able to run on a standard 386 DX
40Mhz PC.
- Output: VGA.
C-64 Demo:
----------
- A group can contribute with as many demos as they want to but only one
from each coder.
- Max. demo lenght: 15 min.
- The demo must be able to run on a standard Commodore 64.
WiLD Competition:
-----------------
- Max. entry length: 20 min.
- Every thing from a Vic-20 to a Silicon Graphics will be accepted but you
will of course have to lend us the equipment during the competition.
- Output: Pal RGB/VGA or Pal Composite Video.
ENTRANCE PRICE:
- Due to the extra facilities, events, competitions and prices the
entrance fee will be dkk 195.
PLEASE NOTE:
- We will not accept anybody selling food, disks etc. without our
permission.
- Alcohol is not allowed at the party place. If we find any it will be
confiscated.
- Intoxicated people will be thrown out or handed over to the police. This
goes for both alcohol as well as drugs.
- We will not accept any racist signs or acting, spraycans, weapons or
firework.
- People who cause any damages will of course have to pay for it.
- We take no responsibility for illegal swapping, software, video etc.

TRAVEL INFO:
- If you are going by train or bus you will arrive at Herning Station.
From here a nonstop party bus will be driving to the party place. The
ride takes 12 min. and costs app. 20 dkk. At the station there will be 2
organizers to help you getting to the party place. If you go to Herning
by car you should follow the "Messecenter Herning" or "The Party 1994"
signs.
