One year later we are back with another
boot intro for FAP 2013
which is called
CUBE-O-BOOTIC 2
Another year, another FAP, another boot intro. And,
just like last year, the original plan failed as I
didn't manage to cram everything into 1024 bytes (yet).
I had to admit defeat and created this very boot intro
instead which wasn't too trivial to do either.
It's another effect I always liked and I don't think
it ever appeared in a bootblock. Until now. :)
Due to heavy size optimisation the intro will not always run
at full frame rate on a 68000 A500. I could have easily
"fixed" that but I didn't want to castrate the effect!
The bootblock should work on all Amigas, right mouse
button quits the intro and booting continues.
I hope you like the intro even though it's not as cool
as its predecessor. Then again it's (often) the same
for movies and cars too, I'm just keeping traditions. ;)
Forgot to mention this last year but it should be obvious
anyway, the name is of course a homage to Cube-O-Matic
which was coded by Buddha back in the "glory days"!
Greetings to everyone at FAP and all who still do Amiga
stuff these days. This automatically excludes certain
people who talk about doing a release for almost 2 decades
and, when being friendly teased about it, make their release
dependent on how many demo parties someone else visits.
Nice excuse anyway...
