attraction & decay 256b intro for Linux by dominikr ^ dSr Released@Outline 2026 --------------------- a short story in 256 bytes of code Intro for Linux/x86. 1920x1080@60FPS The party version has double buffering and a real timer to limit FPS to 60, and the header is *not* counted towards the size, in accordance with the Outline party rules. The small version has no double buffering, and a sleep for 16ms limits the frames to a *max* of 60 fps. Header/data/code are heavily intertwined. You need a faster machine than my 10yo laptop to run it halfway smoothly. It fits in 256b, though. Needs framebuffer permissions for the current user. Add them with "sudo usermod -a -G video $(whoami)". Then switch to the console with Ctrl-Alt-F2, log in, and run it. Exit the standard unix way with Ctrl-C. Greetings: This intro is dedicated to Koe.
