Hugi #33 - MP3 Power

released at Block Party 2007
held from the 27th till 29th of april
Cleveland, Ohia, USA.

Size Explanation:

Adok:
"The 32 Mb are mostly (about half of it) due to gfx. We're using
1024x768 and many illustrations inside the articles are actually full-screen
images which are only displayed downscaled inside the articles (that's why
you can enlarge them by clicking on them). This occupies far more space than
640x480 full-screen pics and max. 300x351 illustrations inside the articles
as we had it in the past."

Magic:
"The more or less other half is occupied by three MP3's tracks composed by
Siatek of Nah-Kolor, Mice & Buzzer of Brainstorm and Chromag of Rebels.
instead of .xm or .mod we used in the past, which are ofcourse far less in size
than mp3's. Infact I can't recall seeing a demoscene magazine which used mp3's
before so maybe this is a first? Btw, if your monitor can handle it try booting
hugi#33 with the fullscreen option turned off.. It's my favourite way reading
 this issue of hugi!"

Interviews, demoscene news, Partyreports, Reviews, Coding corner,
headlines and much, much more inside! Enjoy!

Yours Sincerely,

The Hugi Staff
