Shame on us by Guilty Of Design [web]

                        GUILTY OF DESIGN presents

                              SHAME ON US
                           (release version)

party version presented at LowRes '97

Drunken Master - code (music player, 2D-fx)
jAR - code (3D engine), gfx
Deload - gfx / the cool 4ch music

System requirements: 486 DX-66, NoSound
Recommended system: Intel Pentium 133 (no Cyrix, please), Soundblaster

Additional info: runs under DOS with DPMI 0.9 (e.g. CWSDPMI), but runs
faster under Win 95 (sorry) because Win has a faster
DPMI server (how can it be?).

Background info:
----------------
This is our very first demo. We had to finish it in a hurry at
the party-place due to lack of time, which prevented us of including
more effects and optimizing code and timing - so it's kind of un-
        finished, sorry for that.
The demo was coded in DJGPP, the gfx were done with DeluxePaint - on
an Amiga! The music was composed on ProTracker (Amiga).

This demo came in the 4th place at the LowRes '97 (and awfully close
to the 3rd place, to be precise: by one single fucking point).
        We'll be back...

Thanx:
------
        DJ Delorie for DJGPP
Pascal/Cubic Team for LASSE REINBOENG and the part about cache
optimization which we didn't implement anyway ;)
Jan Erik Hoffmann (JINX!/CoExistence) for the simple, helpful and
                                              wrong info in PC Underground
        Triton for FastTracker
Lars "ZAP" Hamre for FastTrackers predecessor(s)

Greetings we could not include in our demo:

        MRI/Doomsday
        Tom Hammersley
        Acme
Quad (your party report expressed exactly what we felt about LowRes,
although it was written in dutch)
        Complex
        Cubic Team & $een
        Future Crew
        Haujobb
        Melon
        MFX
        Nooon
        Rage (Robotnik rules!)
The Black Lotus (you're right, LowRes WAS the coolest party ever)
        Valhalla
        Vertigo
        Triloxy (KOUD, eh?)
Excessive Force, who sat in the same row ;-)
Experience, who haven't released any demo yet but were there with us
Everybody on LowRes '97: We would have liked to talk to you, but we
were stuck to our frozen chairs.
        You

Things no one has heard because of the Techno noise and
-------------------------------------------------------
Drunken Master wants to say here:
---------------------------------

          TO: MY CENTRAL HEATING
            I love you!

          TO: VOIDD
You SUCK! Thanks for cutting our hole row's power supply when I
had just added some important lines of code... And thanks for
making me unable to add much more because I could not reach the
keyboard with the fingers in my ears!

          TO: MORBID MINDS
Just when I had thought you had made the most awful noise, VOIDD
            went on the stage...

          TO: THE ORGANIZATION
Pizzas are half the price in Germany... and where I live, the
meaning of the phrase "in the middle of the city" is not "in
            the last godforsaken corner".
