Critical by Occult

     -* Critical demo by Sandman / Occult, released 2nd February 1994 *-

Have you seen the demo yet ?
If not exit from here, and run CRITICAL

Have you seen RUNME2ND, if not, run it - Now ! - you need a mouse driver
otherwise it will refuse to show you more than 1 frame :)

I hope you enjoyed the demo, it was good fun to code, and if you enjoyed it
too, it was worth it !

Info on this demo:
2500 lines of source code (approx)
100% *pure* assembly language - no lame stuff ;)
150k of graphics
200k of music
Took about 1 month to code, but was totally re-written twice before.
Coded all at university, in the computer rooms - being kicked off the
computers regularly.

As far as i know, there are only 2 small bugs in my demo :
The end part of the demo dosen't load with SBPro support
On the flag part of the demo there is a point where, if the mixing rate is
just write, the flag will flicker randomly, just increase / reduce the mixing
rate slightly to remove this.

I am considering writing a *COMPLETE* shareware tutorial on how to program in
assembler and especially graphics (in assembler), i am not sure whether to
embark on this yet, if you think it would be a good idea, please contact me
with any suggestions whatever you might have.
I would also like to re-iterate what swimmer of the british knights said
about getting england producing demos. Come on you lot, show the world that
demos aren't only made in Finland/Sweden etc.

I'd just like to say thanks to all the group's I have contacted through email
and to ask all, of the groups that I haven't got in contact with yet, to
CONTACT ME ! - i'll be lookin' forward to hearing from you.

Also if you are contacting me, please contact me by email, I Guarantee to
answer you (as long as you are not a lamer / ripper), Otherwise you could
phone me (in the holidays) as that is my home number, or write to my home or
at uni at the appropriate times.

Look out for more cool productions coming out from Occult soon .........
