Black Beer An animation from Black Sun ------------ What's this? ------------ Black Beer is an anim for 7th edition of Projekt P.I.W.O. It's idea is to turn a dormitory into gigantic display with its windows being lit by high power truecolor LEDs placed inside rooms. The resulting display's resolution is whole 12x10 pixels. AFAIK until our demo all animations were made in simple paint like editor, in which even making fades is painful. After watching last year's show and being disappointed with the quality of the animations(they are mostly poor pixel renditions of movies/music videos/memes, I - Nitro thought of making a proper demo with effects to push the envelope a bit. Project started three days before the show and took about two days of hard work. Most of the classic demoscene effects were tried and most of them look crappy in that resolution, so simpler ones had to be used. Sorry, we couldn't greet all groups we love due to music constraints :) ------------ How to watch ------------ First watch real_capture, then take a look at sim_capture, if you somehow manage to be lucky owner of a LCD screen and want to play this anim, use raw_capture, it's a 12x10 lossless video. real_capture is from second showing of the anim in Krakow, it was first presented in Wroclaw, but there aren't any good quality videos of the show. ------- Credits ------- Visuals: Nitro Music: Fearofthedark real_capture: MINE TV --------- Tech Info --------- Effects generators used: Jinx!
