Sonar Sweep'r by Aleksi Eeben [web]

Sonar sweep'r is a logic puzzle game, a sort of reverse minesweeper. I'll try to explain this in detail, because you're stupid and you probably just run around in the game and hit bombs at random and think it's a stupid game.

You will get aural and visual feedback of possible bombs near your location. One beep means there is one bomb just a step away, two beeps means there's two. Visual cues (o) show all possible locations of the bombs. If there's equal number of visual cues and beeps, the bombs are revealed.

If there's one beep and three sonar symbols, you can always try your luck :) or trace back a step and try approaching from another direction.

This was a sort of meditative game project created in two nights in january 2019. I wanted to write a game using only the knowledge, technology and tools I had gathered and available when I was 9 years old. I only started learning machine code a year later, so this was written in basic. And for unexpanded VIC 20 of course.

I hope you like the game. My record was somewhere around 1100+ points. Try beat it!

Tips: North door gives double bonus and advances two rooms at once. Side doors advance just one. You can go back to previous level through the south door after collecting the key, but then you get no bonus.
